This isn't a very big area, and had a lot on construction going on when we were there. Nothing to do there, had a snow cone vendor and it was where the horse drawn carriages parked and where you could get the bus tours.

Again another place to stroll and get an idea of the Alamo and what happened here. Plenty of hops and eateries and a mall a few minutes away. Shop around as prices vary for the same item here.

The Alamo is so cool and totally worth an hour of your time. It's so well maintained, and historic. The courtyard is opened up for browsing as well and there is also a large gift shop.

Any visitor to Texas must spend time at the Alamo. The video is well worth seeing. Come early before the crowd shows up. The docents are very knowledgeable. Ask them as much as you want.

This is a great place to sit and take a break from exploring San Antonio. Sit under the big tree and take a load off while you watch all the people in front of the Alamo.

Well maintained historic site, in middle of city, a few homeless people hang around but most are harmless. Worth a visit

Be sure to read all the plaques. The film shown at the rear of the area was very interesting. The church is the original building and they are working on preservation.

This is a great historical area as well as a tourist attraction. The usual tourist shops are in the area, but not overly dominated. They were doing some construction on updating the Alamo at the time, but it wasn't too bad. I would highly recommend...More

I am not a history person but seeing this in person was kind of cool. To actually imagine the fighting that went on there.

Sometimes I forget the details of "history" so it was nice to take the audio guided tour which was well worth the $7.00.
