Drove Tioga Road on our way out of the park, and there were many gorgeous spots along the way. The meadow is beautiful, walked the Soda Springs path. Peaceful and lovely.

Fortunately we were here in October with lots of beautiful yellow fall color! Nice paths to walk and surrounding mountains make for nice pictures. Working bathrooms were few during our visit. Pull over spots were crowded so get to park early No phone service throughout...More

The views here are different from Yosemite Valley, but still spectacular. The reflections of the mountains in the stream that flows through the meadows is just beautiful.

We entered the East gate of Yosemite and stopped by Tuolumne Meadows on Tioga Road. It seems that it stretches for miles and it probably does. We saw cute little wildflowers at this high altitude meadow. I’m glad we saw it, but would not recommend...More

This is the quiet, more authentic side of Yosemite! Loved this side, as it has more of an "untouched" feeling than Yosemite Valley. Much more of a backpackers / multiday trip feel. A few lovely lakes to relax and swim at, and some stunning hikes...More

Lovely walk around this beautiful meadow - easy, flat path with 360' views. Very peaceful and enjoyable. We saw pikas which was lovely. Also walked to the soda springs - very interesting. This is just one of many stops we did along the Tioga Road/Pass...More

After leaving Yosemite Valley which is amazing but extremely busy it was nice to take the drive to this part of Yosemite. It is well worth the drive and has a much calmer atmosphere. You won't have a problem finding a car park. There is...More

What a surprise! Driving along in mountain scenery, there are meadows...a rolling expanse of meadows with low trees, streams and tiny lakes dotting the landscape. There is a lodge, campgrounds and trails. Such a beautiful scene! A visit is a must.

The road trip up Tioga Road is a must at Yosemite. Take your time, plan your hikes, bring your suit if it's warm enough.

Started this hike around 8am. Hiked 14km into the John Muir trail (a must if you come to Yosemite!) The whole hike was about 30km and took us all day because we stopped to have lunch and hangout in the river. The water is so...More

Yes you can as there are viewpoints along the roadside. There are plenty of short walks, not hikes, that you can do for great views as well
