Teh centre of this lovely little village is worth exploring, cafes and bars in the squares, and interesting churches and museums scattered around.

Arraiolos is a quiet but pretty town known for its tapestry (you’ll find shops everywhere) and its castle. The city centre is particularly nice with a pleasant square. We were there in the morning and had lunch on the main square but I can imagine...More

Interesting old town center with tiny streets. A few restaurants/cafes, few people around as well but good to have a grasp about how small cities are in Alentejo.

The beauty of this place is that is not “tricked about” for the tourists, it holds a true feel of rural Portugal. There is a great deal of history here and especially the history of carpet making. Truly worth a visit.

Arraiolos was a surprise. A great little town full of traditional portuguese architecture and historical sights. Known for its tapestry work through the centuries the town has many shops and studios selling modern versions. Historic dye pots and fine antique examples can be found in...More

A surprisingly wonderful town with a ton of history. A very traditional Portuguese town. Has a relaxed vibe. We walked everywhere. Beautiful narrow cobblestone streets. Visited the local museum, castle, church and town square.

The center of Arraiolos is like going back in time. Medieval looking buildings are everywhere, white with blue trim (and other colors, occasionally). The plaza is large and there are many thriving businesses featuring the beautiful, multi-colored hand woven carpets made by local artisans, but...More

We really loved the quiet main square, locals settled in the square and foundation of the church. Would love to have just spent the afternoon and evening here but must move on. Had empanada chicken at the city square. Different experience and worth it.

Hello, I do not like it to put you on a false leg with my answer on your question, so as we live in Portugal I would say that some of them could be “eventually” open on Sunday, but I am not sure, this because I also passed... More
