What an attractive development, where there was only a railing and splendid view is now a clever, sensitive , informative building with the same wonderful view, lots of parking space, pleasant cafe and souvenir shop, PLUS a really good exhibition about the Antarctic.

I stopped by here as part of a Phillips Island penguin parade tour. The center was quite big and looked quite nice. Inside there is a souvenir shop as well as a cafe. The items in the souvenir shops were interesting. The dining area by...More

Visited the Nobbies late afternoon before we went to see the Penguin Parade. Excellent visitor centre. We went for a good walk along the boardwalks. Stunning scenery and we managed to see a Little Penguin and a couple of little lizards. A worthwhile visit.

The Nobbies Centre houses a number of attractions, including the Antarctic Journey, which is quite new. There is no charge to use the board walks, which gives visitors a good view out over Bass Strait. The Nobbies Centre also houses a cafe and a gift...More

The Antarctic experience was more for kids than adults. It is also quite expensive. But the walk outside (free) is good.

The centre and staff are very organised. The view was always beautiful every time we go. We didn't do the penguins because we had done a few times. Love this place.

The Antarctic experience was included in our 4 park pass. We managed to stay for about 30 mins but really it could have been done in 15. It was really disappointing. The board walk views however were spectacular and we even managed to see a...More

Lovely center and great views and boardwalk. Antartic Journey isn’t that great though and if i had known it was mostly all info boards to read I wouldn’t of bothered because the kids weren’t interested in it. Good discount with NRMA membership brought the cost...More

The weekends would be the most busy of the week. You are best to go as early as possible to the centre to avoid the daily tourist buses. Grand Prix motor racing on this weekend so don't even go - traffic to get on and off... More

The penguin parade is an evening activity as they don’t come ashore until dusk, around 830pm. The koala place is ok but if you want real interaction with some of Australia’s animals visit the Phillip Island wildlife park... More
