Our family go for walks regularly and was recommended here. Both car parks were full but we parked in town. The views are lovely and we did enjoy it, however Be Very Careful! We didn't see many signs on paths to take and miles they would be so we went our own way down. Before we knew it there was... More

I'm somewhat biased, as I live within walking distance of Ditchling Beacon. But, unlike many things that we come to take for granted when on your doorstep, I never tire of Ditchling Beacon, and the wonderful views across the Sussex countryside and as far as the Surrey Hills, and North Downs.

Not sure if The Who had Ditching Beacon in mind when they wrote the song, but as the saying goes, if the caps fits. It certainly lived up to expectations on a sunny November day, stunning panoramic views to the south to Brighton, to the east and west along the South Downs Way and to the north, the spectacular Sussex... Wow! It was a beautiful clear day in early November, perfect for a couple of hours strolling on the top of the world. The views are spectacular and panoramic. Lots of friendly families and couples, all in a great mood. You couldn't ask for more from this fantastic attraction. Car park is small but the No 79 bus will bring... More

A great place for a picnic or a walk. You can walk to Jack and Jill windmill's which is a few miles to the West. The walkways and path's are quite smooth and accessible. A fantastic way to see all across Sussex, whilst getting some clean fresh air.

This high point on the South Downs Way is well worth the effort of getting up there. Unfortunately for us, our arrival at the top coincided with that of the rain that then proceeded to get more and more heavy! The views were good but on a clear day, you must be able to see even further. The surrounding countryside... More

You can get a bus from Brighton which takes you up to Ditching Beacon. You can see for miles over the Sussex countryside from the top. Stunning on a clear day.

A narrow and winding road but worth it. Fabulous views across Sussex and beyond. Enjoyable walking, ample parking in the early evening, lots of dog walkers but no problem. Take binoculars.
