Ditchling Beacon leads from a small village in East Sussex to the north side of Brighton plenty of wildlife to spot and some great views. It is also the toughest point of the London to Brighton bike ride each year.

Brilliant spot for a breezy walk. We saw gliders picking up the currents of the hill, hang gliders taking off, remote control gliders, and a fella with a falcon on his arm. Just a real pain that the car park paying system is so tedious, why can't we just stick a coin in a machine instead of the ludicrous mobile... More

I absolutely love this place, been there so many times in the last 12 month through different means and always felt amazed how beautiful it is every time I was there. If you love outdoor then you must go and enjoy the lovely sussex countryside. I'd recommend go there without a car as car park is no longer free. It's... More

The point has stunning views of the Sussex countryside. It has good parking at it and certainly worth a trip up to.

A terrific view over the surrounding countryside and on a clear day its surprising just how far you can see, its bit of a slog to get there by bike but quite a challenge just watch out for cars, the route up the side of the downs has been in desperate need of a safe cycle lane for years, since... Great to cycle up Ditchling Beacon, great views and thrilling to cycle back down again. Tack a pack lunch as when you are at the top you will not want to leave quickly.

Ditchling Beacon offers stunning, panoramic views over beautiful countryside. As the name suggests, the hill was once the site of a warning beacon, not surprising given its commanding height. There is a handy small car park accessed off Ditchling Road. There is a fee for the car park for non National Trust members. A great spot to go for a... More

There's a car park and a walk - but to be fair, why didn't you just go to Devil's Dyke?. Nice for hill-walkers, but there's nothing in the way of facilities and as tourist attractions go, it's a five minute stop.
