A walk from Amble was a great start to this - we visited on a mediaeval day and it was a real treat, we stayed longer than intended and the keep is fascinating. The £3.10 amount to park (although this is refunded) is an odd...More

We walked from Amble and had a brilliant time at Warkworth, learning about it's history. Definitely better value than Alnwick!

Very impressive ruins with the main keep still intact. Dog friendly and great for the kids to explore! There were some medieval events going on which added to the atmosphere

If you have never visited Warkworth you really should, it's a beautiful place and the Castle and river are so lovely.

Well worth the visit. Worth taking up the offer of the free self guided tour. There is enough of the castle left to imagine it buzzing with people in its heyday

Adults are £5.80, children between 5-15 are £3.40, and a family (2+3) is £15.00. The Concession rate is just barely a concession at £5.20. If you have an English Heritage membership, entrance is free. I hope you enjoy it!
