Have nice trails but need to go with no rush. It is a moderate- hard trails depend the person. I recommend to carry a backpack with snacks and drinks and a raincoat because rains everyday. I do not recommend most of the trails for kids...More
Got there early in the morning 9 am...Drove the car up the the mountain and got out at all the stops....Beautiful views......on the way down everything opened up
Spent a wonderful afternoon hiking to the top f El Yunque. Saw amazing vegetation and views. Took way too many pictures which aren't anything like seeing it in person. Would return again!

The park is partially open now -- there are park rangers ready to assist with up to date maps. There are limited hiking options; the tower is open. This is mostly a driving tour with stops for waterfalls.

This is the only rainforest in the USA - and free. We were staying right across #3 at the Wyndham so the rain forest was easily accessible/close by. Most of the reviews accurately depicted what we found; some closed trails but also worth the visit....More
Parts are still closed but we still got some amazing views. Stopping at the visitor center now in beautiful downtown Palmer we got some great advice before the trip.

If you take an Uber, make an arrangement to get picked up later. It's prohibitively far to hike back to any hotel on the coast. Renting a car is a needless expense unless you have other destinations.

well there is no entrance fee but there some places of el Yunque that to do an attraction like mountain biking or canoeing you have to rent but most of the places you can enter for free some may ask you for a donation fee... More
well there is no entrance fee but there some places of el Yunque that to do an attraction like mountain biking or canoeing you have to rent but most of the places you can enter for free some may ask you for a donation fee like a dollar or two but believe me is really worth it so come and see the wonders of Mi isla de Borinquen Puerto Rico
