Spent a wonderful afternoon hiking to the top f El Yunque. Saw amazing vegetation and views. Took way too many pictures which aren't anything like seeing it in person. Would return again!

We went here to see waterfalls, a 1.5 hour drive from our Airbnb in Caguas. We did one short hiking trail not far from the first main stopping/viewing area after the entrance. The first area had a lot of tour buses, a creek and a...More

The park is partially open now -- there are park rangers ready to assist with up to date maps. There are limited hiking options; the tower is open. This is mostly a driving tour with stops for waterfalls.

El Yunque is a natural landmark, that honestly it’s a wonder that should be recognized. The fresh air, the view, and all it has to offer makes El Yunque a great experience. I should say though, this trip should be taken if you love hiking...More

This is the only rainforest in the USA - and free. We were staying right across #3 at the Wyndham so the rain forest was easily accessible/close by. Most of the reviews accurately depicted what we found; some closed trails but also worth the visit....More

Parts are still closed but we still got some amazing views. Stopping at the visitor center now in beautiful downtown Palmer we got some great advice before the trip.

If you take an Uber, make an arrangement to get picked up later. It's prohibitively far to hike back to any hotel on the coast. Renting a car is a needless expense unless you have other destinations.
