This village is well worth a visit telling a story of how country people lived over 100 years ago. I particularly liked the shop/pub.

While a little way off the beaten track this gem is worth the effort. There is an historical perspective to how people lived over time in a small village by way of visiting a number of huts built to suit the times.

Traditional folk village near the sea with lovely old original cottages to look at. Educational and genuinely interesting. Fairly inexpensive with a decent cafe and tearoom which you can use without paying for the museum. Located just over the road from a dramatic beach. As...More

I have visited the folk village many times and was glad to see the area specifically for children. My son (7) loved seeing the houses and looking at the artefacts. The soup was lovely in the cafe and we bought several lovely souvenirs

I think it’s an awful pity there are no wheelchair parking places here. Otherwise it very doable if a person has mobility issues

My family and I enjoyed our time here. It was actually better than I thought it would be. It is small but inexpensive and we wound up spending about 90 minutes there plus enjoying some peppermint tea afterwards in their nice cafe. The exhibits consist...More

Lovely location to have a museum Town, but the houses were all a bit too similar to our taste. Definitely fun to visit, but a small-scale enterprise. Excellent fresh coffee on the premises though, which we enjoyed outside in the courtyard. As we had brought...More
