Along with two national parks that I have already reviewed and do recommend for all nature lovers as must whole Velebit mountain for me should be national park due to its breathtaking beauty. There is one nature park with many interesting things to see. I have visited 4 of them and will give short description below along with some photographs:... More

We took a mountain bike tour through the heart of the national park and coming in though the Gospic side the mountain range is densely forested and there are excellent views over the plains in the interior. The road in has a climb of around 10km and a steady gradient of about 6 degrees so a comfortable gradient for hikers... More

You most get ready to go there and probably have at least three days. I went to Gospic and then I took a two day walk/hike to the top. It is a big chalange. Trust me :)

Love this clean nature, the silence and the time to spend there is worth. It is a place that you should visit if you love nature and in love with non-modern staff.

If you like nature, mountains, hiking, and incredible views, Velebit is a must place to see. Two national parks and around 130km lenght offer lots of attractive peaks, villages, forests, paths in a surrounding where you won't believe something that beautiful exists.

Wherever you go in this amazing national park you'll have a great view. It is really special feeling to walk 1000 meter above the sea with such a great view. You really feel like a part of this beautiful nature.

Even the birds are quiet...and you feel like be silent, too. Start from Gornji Karin ( Karinsko More or Karinsko Lake ) and follow road nr. 27 untill you see the sign for Krupa Monastery ( road nr.6027 ). Before reaching the monastry ( you are already in Velebit National Park ), you'll find a parking place, right and left.... More

At first it is the incredible feeling to go up from zero to tausend meters, coming from the sea. If you have travelled on the top turn back and take the view that you never had before.. Cows, horses, sheep's, etc. Ist so amazing!! I do not know, if it is legal.. But I traveled there also hundreds of km... More

Beautiful national park - lesser visited and touristy than the others but most amazing hiking trails. Premužićeva staza is the most stunning trail and very flat and easy to access by car. Definitely worth a visit for nature fans.
