I was wordless at this incredible treasure hidden in Toscana. I have heard about it from a friend in Roma who strongly encouraged me to visit there. The statutes created by the artist Niki de Saint Phalle who unfortunately passed away before the garden was...More

Because the park only opens in the afternoon, we combined this with a beach day in nearby Grosseto. It was the perfect break from climbing around medieval towns. The Niki de St Phalle is probably better known for her works in the Stravinsky fountain in...More

The Tarot Garden in Capalbio is amazingly beautiful and interesting, especially if you are a fan of tarot cards. The Empress "card" became Niki ,the artist's home ,with a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and dining room ! It is an artistic masterpiece, well worth visiting for both adults and children....More

It's a magic and fantastic place, evocative of exoteric atmospheres immersed in the Tuscany countryside, nearby the Argentario peninsula. Niki de Saint Phalle being inspired by the Parque Guell by Antoni Gaudì in Barcelona created a unique place where our feelings, instinct and happiness are...More

This place is a "must see" for everyone interested in modern art before it will be worn out by time. It is completely outrageous, out of this world! Sculptures are not beautiful but unusually eccentric and exciting - full of colorful mosaic and chips of...More

I remember that I’ve seen lots of fat female colorful figures in the stores some years ago and when visited Stockholm, I got more interested in learning the works of this artist (Niki de Saint Phalle) This attraction is to be visited on purpose (know...More

More of a setting for guadi type figures than garden. An amusing experience. It was nice to see the childish expressions on show. Children and adults included. I would not recommend it for its botanical presentation.

We drove there in the expectation to visit the garden in a sunny Sunday of January. What a mistake: it is only open from 1st April to mid-October. And only in the afternoon. You only discover it arriving there, as its website does not say...More

Several years ago, I read about the Tarot Garden by Niki de St Phalle. Our family was in Italy, so we drove around until we found Il Giardino. Terrific experience. Lots of wonderful and outrageous sculptures. Definitely worth the time to visit, if you like...More

This place is dazzling! Niki de Saint Phalle created a colorful outrageous fantasy land that will blow you. It is modern and wildly imaginative and a complete non sequiter in Tuscany - but that part of what makes it do special. Only open in the...More

What is the best way (fastest and cheapest) to go from Rome to the Tarot Garden, to Florence? Will not have a car. I would like to drop by the Tarot Garden on the way from Rome- Florence. Is there a place I can store my bags at the Capalbio train station or the Garden while I look around?

There is a souvenir shop. Small, but with really good selection of things to buy, they are not cheap, but quality is fine.
