This is an absolutely stunning experience for adults and children alike! I took so many pictures of the sculptures and buildings - yet I should have taken some of people's face as well. A joyful wonder!

We had read about this in the New Yorker magazine a few months ago and thought it might be worth checking out when we were in Tuscany. This turned out to be an understatement. All of us, kids and adults, were blown away by this amazing place. The sculptures are so unique and we had so much fun examining them... More

A nice afternoon trip if you are staying in the surroundings, consider going in the late hours because it can get very warm up there and you are supposed to walk around... The works are astonishing, inspired both by Gaudi and the "monster garden" of Bomarzo.

We were staying in Orvieto and had read about the Tarot Garden in the April 2016 issue of The New Yorker Magazine. It was a fairly easy 90 minute drive and the visit was very rewarding. Wondrous and highly imaginative sculptures on a very large scale. It opens at 1430 hours and the place filled up very quickly. I am... More

You must see it if you are a Gaudi art lover, like contemporary art., like unique places or if you are just passing nearby. Something like Gaudi's garden in Barcelona, but much less crowded, smaller and not so sophisticated but I guess more psychodelic. Loved that. Great fun.

Despite having lived in both Lucca and Orvieto - both a doable day-trip away from Niki de Saint Phalle’s Tarot Garden in the Maremma region of Tuscany - and having published a travel piece about the Jewish heritage of nearby Pitigliano, I had never heard of this fantasy land until I read Ariel Levy’s article “Beautiful Monsters" in an April... Grander than life size mosaic sculptures that enchant children and adults alike. This sculpture garden is an interesting activity for adults and children. The sculptures are art that was the dream of one woman and the collaboration of an entire town. It is really interesting to be able to climb up and inside some of the statues and just to... More
