Loved the flowers, enjoyed the well marked trail to Camel Rock

The locals told us that the flowers weren't as good as they sometimes are - due to the lack of rain this winter. But we still saw fields of wildflowers and the walk that we did to Camel Rock was well marked and fun to do. On the way back we saw a small antelope dart away. The walks have... More

Having been to the garden previously and being flower season we drove in paid our fees at the gate with expectations of seeing some great flowers on 3rd September. Unfortunately this years show was quite disappointing compared to previous visits, not their fault. There were no management guides or anyone around on Sunday and the few visitors were literally driving... More

We spent a brief time here as we were heading for Matjiesfontein park 14 kms down the road where the flowers were apparently more prolific. Important to find out where the best "shows" are. This was very pretty and well worth a visit particularly if you enjoy walking.

This was our third visit, unfortunately not the usual magnificent flower display but still enchanting. We cycled the perimeter on our MTB and really enjoyed the ride of about 10 km with only a few metres of mildly technical sections

Both my visits have been out of season, and both were very worthwhile. The natural splendor does not rely on the flowers, with spectacular views on offer from various trails. With that said my latest visit was early in the flower season, and even with only a few species on display the floral display is something to behold. I imagine... More

Although the staff are struggling to keep on top of the garden, due perhaps to budget cuts, they manage to make a visit a great experience. The variety of flowers etc is vast, many are labled and the bird life prolific.. Hantam is an excellent way to get a first hand introduction to the floral kingdom in which is resides.... More

We visited this botanical garden for the first time recently. We were told that the peak for the bulb blooms had passed but that there were still some flowers to be enjoyed. The day was a bit cold but sunny so we set out on the trail and walked for about 1.5 hours. The variety of flowers was astounding. As... More

Good for walking various trails of differing lengths. Spring flowers almost finished but still worth visiting.
