The whale shark watching is great. You get to see the whale sharks on their own way of existence. The nice thing about the Donsol Whale Shark interaction is that the boat men and other residents don't feed them so they won't be dependent on...More

I expected to see a whale shark for my first time. I'm a scuba and freediving instructor and my expectation level is so high, also my eco-friendly filter only allows me to do reasonable activities and that one is highly caring. I went twice, and...More

I'm so pleased that I chose Donsol over Oslob to do this wonderful experience. Nothing beats seeing animals in their natural habitat and that's exactly what you get at Donsol. Ask around and try and share a boat. It does not hinder your trip at...More

Great new experience! I can't wait to go back and do this again! Friendly people too. Also, if you are less than 6 travelling, they will look for people to go on the boat with you so you can share the boat fee. Check the...More

Such a fantastic experience. We were lucky enough to just have our boat (6 people) for a couple of swims with the sharks. When more boats come it could be a bit of a free for all but it was not overcrowded. Well worth a...More

We wanted to avoid Oslob style canned interaction with whale sharks so came to Donsol especially for the eco interactions and to see these gentle giants in the wild. We were privileged to see 4 beautiful whale sharks and swim with 3 on our tour....More

When in Donsol for whale shark "butanding" look for Kuya Omar as he is the pioneer guide that can really educate you and help you see the beauty of Donsol. We went on a boat at around 10am and we are still lucky to be...More

Any ideas on the most up to date prices? Don't want to get ripped off as a single traveller but presuming all prices are set (would help if their website worked!). Thanks

Hi! My husband and I are visiting the Philippines in late March til early April. We will be arriving from El Nido to Legazpi and possibly stay at one of the popular hotels the Oriental Legazpi. We are debating if we should stick with Donsol to experience the shark whale interaction or go to Oslob, Cebu and have a higher chance to see them. This will be our second attempt of trying since last time we didn't do much research and realized that we went at the wrong time. So now, I hope that we are going during high peak and will definitely see whales in Legazpi. Do you have any inputs on this? Should I book online ahead of time or book at one of the offices when getting there? With whom should I go with? Thanks so much for your time!

What time of the day has the least number of people doing the whale shark interaction? If it rains, do they cancel all sailing? Thanks!
