The view is very nice but there is no need to climb to the entrance to see it. The castle is left abandoned. Not worth it.

Looking at previous reviews and today’s visit to the castle I don’t think it’s been open for a long time.... I suspect long overdue repairs are required to ensure visitor safety. That said Forza D’Agro is very picturesque and well worth visiting.

Given its historical significance, as the place of first Norman presence in Sicily, and thus the first parliament on Sicilian soil, this place is in a very poor condition, and some major investments are needed. Amazing potential and great significance.

Great views. Good climb if you want a work out in the heat. Obviously no need for local defence in recent times.
