When I arrived at 11am Sunday morning a service was just starting with 2 children beig s christened and a lovely childrens choir singing and a good number of people inthe congregation. So this added a delightful atmosphere which brought the Duomo to life.

It is one of the important places to visit in Petrasante. Need to read more in internet or in books before coming here, to know more about it's history.

Very interesting architecture and art. Not up to standards of Venice or Florence but very enjoyable and interesting to see and learn about.

PIETRASANTA WAS A LOVELY OLD TOWN IN THE NORTH OF ITALY - known for Artistic ventures. A quiet place to stay and use as a base to travel by train to other nearby places. The Duomo was a small and calming church in the town.

This whole area is worthwhile. The town prides itself on having good art and from the more ancient (the Duomo) to to the more contemporary this is a joy, especially if you take the time to wander around the adjacent streets... early evening is best.
