I just read the following blurb and I have heard this artist once in Mexico and can TOTALLY recommend! She is singing at Paseo El Carmen (April 30, 2016)...so definitely GO to this one!! She is a beautiful, talented artist: Julia Vari at Santa Tecla International Jazz Festival
International jazz artist, Julia Vari, will headline the Santa Tecla International Jazz Festival in Santa Tecla, El Salvador! She will delight Central American audiences with her elegant, original jazz fusion arrangements of songs from different countries in seven different languages.

I loved the church and walking around the well maintain small town!. While bar hopping we end up at las camelies for food and more drinks :) We had a fun time and the service was good. over all I wish el Salvador had more places such as this one to reflect to country's heritage and friendly people.unlike the area in the coastal side that was extremely abandoned and lacks good restaurants and clean areas, especially the la costa de el sol. what a shame! the most beautiful beach I have encounter in many of my world trips :( however the potential is there. In fact me and my buddy would love to be able to come for spring brake if it was safer but there is nothing to do at night! The coastal are is way to primitive.

This was a cool experience during my first weekend in El Salvador, and really set the tone for Salvadorean culture. It was a nice safe environment where I could enjoy pupusas ( national dish), beer, cocktails, and live music at a variety of places. I would call it the Bourbon Street of El Salvador. I highly recommend checking it any Friday or Saturday night. I unfortunately never made it back there after my first weekend but it will be first on my list when I return to El Salvador. Happy Travels!!!!

Paseo El Carmen in Santa Tecla historic center has been recently developed, offering different options of culinary and bar alternatives, live music of different kind including rock bands, guitarrists or even house music! Palacio Municipal Tecleño offers events, usually during the weekends the streets are usually crowded and there is a street market where you may find food and artcrafts. There is plenty parking and if you are interested in staying in the area and enjoy the different activities during day time there is a newlly open hostel in Santa Tecla (right in front of palacio municipal) where you may stay at a very affordable price, they offer free wifi and tourist information, as well as guided tours at great prices! Not to miss!!

we didn't make it here until our last night in El Salvador and I am sad to have missed out this beautiful gem. We only got to spend less than an hour and it was quite late at night. for sure you need to make it a stop on visiting this beautiful country!!!

It is like strip with restaurants, bars, clubs, stores, street vendors, artist, and performer’s. All local people with few forgings. Very affordable prices and very extremely fun to me. Absolutely safe and using uber very cheap to get there like less than $10 dollars each way from the InterContinental hotel.

This place is a very nice place for a coffee, bar and restaurant options by going either afternoon or night.
Parking lot on Cafetalon is about 1USD and is very secure. Walking through Paseo El Carmen main street is recommended either if you already have chosen a place or if you are looking for the right place for your mood during your visit.

My friend and I came to the Paseo del Carmen on Good Friday (Viernes Santo) to see the church processions. There were tons of people, street food, stores and bars. Seemed like a very happening spot!

The city of Santa Tecla sets up an arts and crafts market in weekend evenings. It makes for a very lively atmosphere, and there are many restaurants and food stalls available. A must go in Santa Tecla!

Siento no contestar a tiempo. Los días con mayor actividad son viernes y sábado. Entre semana, la mayoría de los comercios cierra alrededor de las 8 de la noche.
