This was something else again ! Want a different experience from ferries for the masses ? This is it ! Couldn't resist not buying a hat & mug souvenir from the lighthouse shop. Thank you so much for the memories :)

Had no idea what to expect, but this was great! Enjoyed it immensely, though the drive on the other side was incredibly bumpy!

The Skye Ferry is a must do if you are visiting the Highlands. It is a turntable ferry, holding only four vehicles, the crossing runs from the stunning village of Glenelg over the Sound of Sleat to the Isle of Skye. Taking only a few...More

Take this little trip back in time and you’ll not be disappointed. The skipper was more than happy to part with all his known information about this unique ferry .. didn’t see any of the wildlife though which was disappointing for us , just unlucky...More

Great little trip from Glenelg to Skye... roads are a bit hairy, but stop in Glenelg - a truly beautiful place on the waterside. Enjoyed our crossing but wish it had been longer and really hoped to see Victor the sea-eagle, but no luck :-(

This was a great way to journey to Skye. The trip didn't take long, and the novelty of taking a ferry to Skye was far superior to simply driving over a bridge. We were on a road trip of the Highlands, and the ferry was...More

What a fun way to travel into Skye...it was an experience to be on a small turntable ferry and chat with the operators. Appreciated the honor system coffee at the Ferry Station on the mainland side.

We paid 15 pounds for each Crossing. I believe a return ticket is 25 pounds. I know I made a typo when I wrote my review, I think I said 150 pounds! And I couldn't figure out how to correct that error. But for the vehicle... More
