Its the best of the best sakura blossom views I've seen so far! Guess thats why it is said to be among the top three sites in japan for sakura viewing.Words and pictures cannot fully describe its beauty. Perhaps its because of the relative difficulty to access this park that not too much of it's glorious views are known to... More

This community had cherry trees growing all around the community. The trees were awesome in the Takato castle ruin park – a must visit during the blooming season. Just be prepared for heavy traffic which inched along to the park and exiting from the park. ASAHI beer was sold in special cans with pink flowers – great souvenir.

It is amazing to see full blossom of cherry trees at Takato Joshi Park in mid April. We are admired by over a thousand of sakura trees with beautiful pink flowers. It is fantastic to stay here from afternoon till night for nighttime sakura viewing.Bring your camera and tripod to take good shots.

It's true that Takato Castle Ruin attracts huge visitors during cherry blosom season. When I went there in November, the leaves were beautifully changing colors. If you love to visit castle ruins Takato castle ruin is a nice place for you though the ruin has no keep (main tower).
