Good spring skiing. Slightly steeper runs than nearby Akakura Onsen and Akakura Kanko (for intermediates like us)

Sugi has amazing terrain, amazing trees and awesome on hill food! If you're in Myoko you need to spend at least one day here. Crazy cloud bands mean it can be snowing at the bottom and sunny blue bird at the top chair! Don't miss it.

We love this notation out of the 4 the best!! Really got side country and back country but the back county does require a hike if you catch it early! If you are staying in Akakura like we were, a bus needs to be caught to get there, takes about 30mins and costs 500yen each way per person. The bus... More

Like the other Myoko Kogen ski areas, there are some delightful mellow cruisey pistes to delight in, some powder off to the sides of the pistes and a few shortish, ungroomed steeper blacks to challenge your comfort zone. And the view of Mt Fuji from the top 2 lifts is a bonus on a sunny day.

With its so claimed 8.5 km run, this place is great for beginner to intermediate skiers.Maybe 10% for experts, with limited tree skiing and difficult trails.A must do though when in the area.

We visited Suginohara twice while in Myoko and it has some great long runs, unfortunately it was a bit on the old icy side (on the groomers) when we were there and some days were quite busy getting on the gondola. Would love to go after a fresh dump, as I think it would be amazing.

Skiing was sensational. Long wide runs. This was the best skiing we did in Myoko. Longest run in Japan but top section doesn't open if it's very windy. Still amazing
