Maybe this oldskool resort is not enough for hardcore adrenaline junkies due to its low altitude and short-ish runs, but for busy urbanites, beginners, improvers and families who are looking for an immersive snow experience with the ease of access and comfort, this resort strikes the right balance. Under 2h from Tokyo by the Bullet Train and open from 8am... More

This resort has really nice pretty green runs through the forest that are gorgeous, from the top of the mountain all the way down. It's nice that my family with younger kids can ski the whole mountain together. There are plenty of lifts and don't seem to be long lines. There are restaurant options (plenty) around the mountain for a... More

~ good connection between lifts and dont need to "walk" on upward ground ~ a lot of park features and both skiiers and boarders enjoyed a lot ~ lot of family style cafe/restaurnat serving different cuisine ~ less crowd than Gala ~ it takes around 20 minutes to tske lifts to straight to the top, then you can ski from... My friends have been telling me how fun it is to ski in this resort, but after this second time visit, I'm pretty sure that the ski courses here are not my cup of tea. There's not enough snow when we visited in January 2016. This time was much better, with 200+cm of snow, though we had a bad start.... More

We visited in February 2016. As other reviewers mentioned, getting to the top is surprisingly convoluted. Go up a lift, ski down, up again, walk uphill--there's a ton of zig zagging that would be solved with one high-speed lift, frankly. The snow was great but the trails a bit on the short side. Also the runs were very poorly labeled.... More

Great access from Tokyo (a 1.5hr shinkansen ride) and high quality of the powder snow is there. Almost no queue and easy access for each ski lifts. Great panorama view from the top and AWESOME Japanese food at restaurants in this ski resort attracts me to visit there almost every year.

An excellent choice for intermediate skiers requiring easy access from Tokyo area. Slopes well maintained, plenty of lifts with option to connect to Gala area to extend the range. When I attended at the weekend late January the snow was fresh, views excellent and no lift lines!.

A resort with slopes of varieties, but if we want to go the peak, we need to change lifts at least 3 times. And the lifts are not connectable, which I mean is we cannot just get off from one lift then get onto the other one right away. Much worse, even we ski down to catch another lift, it... More

One of the larger resorts in the area on its own, and links to GALA Yuzawa if you want even more runs to explore. Good mix of different slopes but especially good for intermediates. Lots of independent restaurants on the slopes so a great choice of places to grab lunch. Plenty of places to stay right on the snow. The... More
