I was at the Kalola spa at the end of June for a 50 minute Lymphatic massage. My massage therapist Camerton was excellent from start to finish.
He is very professional, made me feel at ease instantly. Communication
was key when asking me where I needed extra strength in areas where I felt pain the most. I would highly recommend him the next time you visit the spa.

All the staff and massage therapists were very friendly, professional and
wonderful to deal with.

Thank you to the employees and specifically Vanesa for the service provided. The ease of entering into the area and the precautions they take to ensure the safety of their guests are above expectations and I'm thankful for that.

Relaxing Spa Experience

I had a lovely and relaxing experience at Kalola Spa. I received a 50 minute relaxation massage followed by an Indian head massage from Joe. He was very attentive to me needs and did an excellent job. The spa itself has a soothing atmosphere and all the staff were very kind.

Thank you Kalola Spa staff for a delightful experience!

I booked a last minute relaxation massage as a treat for myself on my birthday weekend. The staff was able to accommodate me as it wasn't booked in advance. Joe was my service provider. He was very professional and did a great job.
Services are a bit more pricey at the resort, as to be expected when you travel. Check prices online before you go.
I would definitely try another service when I travel back to Blue Mountain.

Bliss in Blue Mountain!

On a recent trip to Blue Mountain, my boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to a (much needed) couple's RMT massage after an overwhelming summer. I have had massages in the past and this was my boyfriend's first. To say it was an excellent experience would be an understatement! The booking process was simple, the price was reasonable and the location was unbeatable. The facilities were clean, relaxing and smelled amazing! Michael and Heather were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. In comparison to other massages in the past, I found this one to be the best- Michael personalized my massage to focus on where I needed it most and took his time to give me a thorough introductory massage that was efficient and both relieving and relaxing. Heather made my boyfriend feel very comfortable throughout. We both left feeling much better then we walked in. We would highly recommend Kalola Spa for your next visit to Blue Moutain and will surely be back ourselves, Thank you Heather and Michael!

My wife and I went for food treatments for our anniversary. The spa and it’s employees were vary accommodating and the service was fantastic. My wife said she could notice the difference in the quality of products they use compared to other spas. Would definitely go again.

Our first experience with the Spa was less than desirable - however, having said that, Carol went over and above to correct and improve on this experience. When we went back we had massages by Heather. She was the best massuese my husband and I have ever had treatment from! She was very aware of what we wanted, the pressure, the environment, the noise level and everything in between. I have been back since my first appointment and that was even better. We are visiting the spa again next month and are very grateful to have found a reliable, effective, courteous person to receive massage treatments from. It was a lovely experience from beginning to end!

Today I had the pleasure of attending this amazing spa with my husband for couples massages. We had amazing service, the massage therapists were excellent and we had a great relaxing experience. The spa is very clean and they are doing an excellent job at following all Covid protocol. I highly recommend Kalola. I always have a great experience there.

Usually I don't do this but I feel compelled to change my tune this time. This spa was an awful experience. I had a 50 minute "relaxing massage" and a deluxe organic facial which left me hobbling back to my hotel in pain and fearful of the rashes and welts beginning to form on my sensitive skin.

The massage left me feeling anything but relaxed. My masseuse talked though out the entire process even though I started to give single syllable responses in a feeble attempt to put an end to the talking. To be fair, the massage that was done on my neck was great but that's it. Afterwards I was supposed to slip into the itty bitty robe provided and go to the facial room. The robe was not working and I, quite stupidly in hindsight, asked for a bigger robe. I was then told to just walk to another area and get one...you know, barely fitting into the current robe with my assets hanging out. At which point I had the "are you serious" look on my face and the person realized that maybe they should probably provide customer service and get the robe I requested.

I get the new robe only to discover it's merely another color and longer but still the same unforgiving medium size. I am not a size 8. I have hips and bum, I am not ashamed of my body but I would like all of it packed in to feel the same level of comfort that I am paying for like everyone else. Everyone goes to the spa to decompress and enjoy themselves but that's difficult when you are made to feel subconscious about your body. I have spa'd several times before this and I have never felt like I can afford the luxury of a spa but
not the comfort of a robe that fits.

On the facial tip, I was reunited with my friend and we briefly swapped horror stories of our experiences thus far. When my facial began,the person just started slapping things on my face without telling me what they were - we did fill out a form in the beginning asking about allergies etc and where I also stated that I have sensitive skin - I have sensitive skin and yet my facialist was scrubbing my face raw.

My friend is highly knowledgeable in skin care and was asking her person various questions of what is being put on our faces and whether or not they will be giving us SPF, you know because they scrubbed the crap out of our faces and applied vitamin C. For those of you wondering, the answer was "no". Yes, that's right, sent back out into the sun with no SPF after you've scrubbed and vitamin C'd faces to death.

After it was all over, I was checking the damage in the mirror and I noticed I still had all this residue from the mask I had been given on my face. The melanin in my skin tends to make it relatively easy to notice the white gunk of the mask still on my face and yet, it completely escaped the vision of the person giving me a facial and, arguably starting at my face.

I know what you must be thinking, I should have read the reviews. Honestly I had read both positives and negatives so I figured that maybe it'll be fine I mean, how can a massage be bad? I was dumb and I hope that you won't be.

Hello, I just wanted to take a moment to respond to your review. First, I would like to say we regret you did not enjoy your experience. I have reviewed your booking and see that you were booked in for a relaxing massage, but with any massage, you may feel sore after the treatment. The technique carries blood and nutrients to your muscles while eliminating toxins. After stimulating muscles that you may not usually use, you might experience delayed onset muscle soreness. This is a physical response to the inflammation as your body heals. Drinking plenty of water before and after your treatment will help to relieve this. Unfortunately, you were uncomfortable in the robe we offered. During COVID, we are not using our robes much, but I do know that your therapists came to me and we did provide you with another robe, which is was XXL and the largest we currently carry but thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will be ordering larger for the future. Our skincare products are 100% natural and blended with soothing and calming Chamomile, Aloe, Cucumber, and Japanese Green Tea. Generally, people with sensitive skin have excellent results with our products. You could have experienced some sensitivity from the microdermabrasion, which is a minimally invasive product that is used to renew overall skin tone and texture. Still, the first time you used it can leave the skin feeling a bit sensitive and rosy but after an hour that it will disappear. Our product does not include chemical SPF; however, we use plant-based emollients that are known to have inherent levels of sun protection such as coconut oil, argan oil, red raspberry seed oil, carrot seed oil, almond oil, and shea butter. These ingredients act as a natural SPF up to about 15, indeed not enough if you are spending the day out in the sun. We do sell an item which includes Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, which are natural but leave a white or cakey film, so certainly not something you want to apply after a facial. We use Vitamin C to boost your circulation, brighten your skin, help to heal surface damage, stimulate collagen production, and even scavenge free radicals to prevent the onset of fine lines and wrinkles. Dermatologists recommend vitamin C serums for all skin types. I am sorry you were left with a mask residue that is not acceptable, and I have spoken to our therapist about this. As you are aware of having a facial with us, you are in a dim room as we want to offer this as a relaxing experience as possible this could be how she missed a small amount of mask. I wish you had have brought this to our attention when checking out as we would have certainly corrected this. Finally, I am sorry your therapist talked during your service, as this is not our policy at all. We advise our guests at the beginning of all services that this is their time and do not feel like they need to have a conversation unless they have questions or concerns. The particular therapist you had is generally very quiet and will only comment if there is something you should be aware of. In closing, I would be more than happy to discuss your experience.
