This was my first time cross country skiing and I had so much fun! I fell about 10 times as it was icy where there were no tracks and even hit my head (2 days later still have goose egg!). It is not for the faint of heart. The lady outside was very patient and helpful to not just myself but others:) I am glad I tried cross country skiing and hope to be back at Scenic Caves!! I am also thankful that there are tracks that you place your skiis in to get about. The challenge is when there are NO tracks!!

Thank you for visiting. We appreciate you sharing your five star review. First time cross country skiing experiences can be a lot of fun, and both rewarding or challenging at times. With 27km of varied terrain available for both classic and skate skiing we have trail levels to match beginner to advanced skiers. Tracks are set when there is sufficient snow depth available. Lessons are a great way to become more comfortable with the sport, and our teachers provide a safe and supportive learning experience. We look forward to seeing you back again.

My wife bought us a $700 couples season membership as a Christmas gift to me last year, but I managed to hurt my back (ultimately having surgery) and we were unable to ski even once. I contacted Scenic Caves to see if they would consider deferring our membership for a year and they not only refused by stating all sales were final, but were so inflexible and unsympathetic that I gave up in frustration. Any business that places so little value on the customer relationship does not deserve to keep its customers. There are many options and other places to cross country ski in Collingwood. I will never return to Scenic Caves.

Nice walking trails with some good viewing spots. The "caves" were dissapointing though as these are more of cracks and cavities in the rocks.

We were towing our trailer when we got there. The ticket agent was very helpful in directing us to the overflow parking. All the trails were well marked. We were disappointed to find out the zip line was not available. We were not made aware of this when buying our tickets nor were there any signs mentioning it. We hiked up to the zip line entrance only to find that it was quite closed.

Thank you for visiting with us and sharing your review. We are pleased to hear that our staff at the ticket booth were able to assist you with your parking needs for your trailer. The 15km hiking trail centre and caves/crevasse trails are all well marked and signed for distance and level of difficulty to assist our guests in safely navigating the property and choosing what trails are best suited for them. The zip line is not operating this year and would have been an added cost to our park admission. We recommend our future guests review our web site in advance of their visit to view current activities and adventures. The web site indicates in several key areas that it is not operating this season, and in addition there is signage at our entrance area. We regret if you missed this. Please visit again.

The price is a little on the high side, but everything has gone up. Enjoy the time and views when you are on the paths. The caves are a little tight.
The view off of the bridge was amazing to see the valley below. The maps are a little out of sort but the trails are well laid out.

While it was interesting to do the Adventure, I wish we were informed that we actually need to be petite or little to enter those two caves. For all the climbing and coming down rocks, it was quite a challenge for us Seniors. What is expected, should have been displayed earlier.

Thank you for visiting us and exploring our outdoor nature adventures. Our caves/crevasse self-guided trails weave throughout seventeen unique geological features, naturally carved millions of years ago by glacial ice. There are some stairs and handrails to assist in navigating guests through the labyrinth network. We require guests for their own safety to wear running shoes or hiking boots as the ground is uneven and has natural obstacles. Guests are encouraged to review our web site and trail map in advance of visiting for greater details on what to expect.

Overpriced and area was strewn with garbage. I spent more time picking up garbage then enjoying the trails. 74 dollars for two adults. They try to sell all these additional options but those cost money too. Go hike in a provincial park much cheaper. Also, they give u plastic bracelets and a plastic map. Not very environmentally friendly and sustainable. Don’t visit until they reduce price and practice sustainability and better environmental stewardship.

Wonderful area to spend a couple of hours exploring. The trails were well-marked and cared for. We arrived first thing on a Monday morning and felt we had the forest almost to ourselves. A lovely and knowledgeable docent gave us tips on what to see first and then what trails to enjoy after the must-see attractions. A great morning!
