Our family enjoyed the place so much. I love how the trails are laid out that makes one-way really workable (hard to go wrong) and everyone is on the right direction due to clear signage. With plenty trash bins here and there it makes the place very clean. During pandemic I feel this place has put lots of thoughts and effort to make the place nice and clean that all patrons feel comfortable and have less worries.

The bridge, caves and scenery are awesome, that suddenly we forgot about pandemic and any blues in our lives.

I wish we could spend a day there instead of just 2 hours, which was still very well-spent. We will be back to walk every single trail, enjoy a picnic and take more beautiful pictures :-)

Note that it is true that the gate closes frequently until some cars leave the parking lot. We could not afford to wait for 90 mins for our turn to park onsite to get in so we parked off site (a few hundred meters away) and walked into the park (there were a dozen of cars on both directions waiting to go in, maybe the staff is not allowed to suggest to park somewhere else?)

I appreciate how well the staff has maintained the place. Excellent effort!

Just visited (mid October 2020) this area and totally loved it. Beautiful fall colours, not too crowded (we went at 11 am), nice and easy hike. You can walk for as little as you want and as long as you want. We did a mid loop for about 3 hours and stopped every few minutes to take pictures. :)

The caves part is small and short but still worth seeing. You can get inside the caves but it's very narrow. If you're on the bigger side you probably won't fit - you literally have to move sideways to move along - one way street :)

The entrance fee is $25 bucks and normally you have access to different activities but this year it's somewhat limited. Still worth the visit, walk, scenery, etc.

Our family of 5 adults rented the snowshoes and really enjoyed the whole experience. Two of our family had never snowshoed before. The trails were in excellent condition, well marked, and included short cut options if desired. The snowshoes were also in excellent condition. We used them for about 2 hours and decided that we had enough. We wish there was the option of a 2 hour rental although the price for everything was fair and it was something we could enjoy without a mask and worry about social distancing. The trails, lookout view, suspension bridge crossing were all superb. We have been on the trails in the fall once before but still enjoyed it with the winter scenery. The only complaint was we were to leave our rented snowshoes outside when we were done. We were concerned that someone could easily walk off with them so we would prefer that someone would be present to actually credit us with returning them. Overall, we highly recommend this activity!

Thank you for taking the time to provide your review. We are always pleased to hear from guests who enjoyed our warm season activities and decide to experience the unique differences in the property during the winter. The snowshoe trails, lookouts and Suspension Bridge can certainly make for a full day experience. A day trail pass and the rental price provides access to the trail system and activities for as much of the day or as little as as you want. Your comments regarding timed rentals and fees will be provided to our Management Team. Concerns regarding equipment drop have been addressed.

Terrible customer service! We were a party of 2 cars. The first car got into the park and 2 min later the second car reached the park only to be turned away saying that the parking lot was full and to come back tomorrow! We explained that the other part of our group was already in the park and they had said there were lots of parking spots. We were told by a rude staff member there were no parking spots and that they had to let 20 cars out before they let 1 car in. That makes no sense #math Then we were told that maybe we could be admitted in 1-2 hours. Well what is it..when 20 cars leave or 1-2 hours?!

The car that was already in the park talked to the staff to explain the situation and they were told by the staff that 20 cars had to leave first. They said they had seen 12 cars leave and there were lots of parking spots. The staff told our party that they in fact did not see 12 cars leave. How on earth would the staff know?!

Since the second car wasnt able to get into the park the first car decided to leave. Upon leaving they saw the gate being opened and cars being let in!!! Both cars decided to go back to the park and were both let in by a different staff person.

When both cars arrived there were many parking spots available. Why would staff turn away business? They mentioned nothing about limitations due to covid or maximum occupancy. Seemed like a power trip on the staff's part with no apology. There needs to be consistency in parking rules and more professional staffing.

We played a round of mini golf. The course is older and could use some work. It's an extra $5 on top of entry fee to play.

Went for a hike to the suspension bridge. A few hills on the hike so good hiking shoes are recommended. The views from the bridge are great.

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the hiking, the suspension bridge and the views. It is unfortunate there was a miscommunication at the parking lot. COVID-19 has created a difficult situation for us all by restricting capacity. The safety of our visitors and staff remains our top priority as we comply. The top of our website, Facebook and Twitter communications all state this message: “Capacity is limited. No online reservations. General admission tickets are available on a first come first served basis, so arrive early. Please review our COVID guidelines before you visit: sceniccaves.com”. Your comments will be forwarded to management.

Despite the weather we had a great time. We did the suspension bridge trail. It was a little slippery due to the rain, but still a great hike. Because the weather was turning we decided to not tackle any of the other hikes, but we did play a round of mini golf. The course is simple but we had fun. Putting through the added water hazards was a riot. It would have been nice if the weather was better, but we didn't let it stop us. I won't lie, it was a bit pricy but we still enjoyed it.

We enjoyed our visit today, but as an adult, it was a bit disappointing for $26.50/person.

Really, all that gets you is access to the trails and bridge. Anything else is an add on (I.e mini putting, gemstone activity, ziplining).

That is expensive for a HIKE. Especially since the Bruce trail is close by. The caves are ok, but really not what I expected. When you call something a cave, it evokes a mental image of underground or large caves. This system is really more like limestone high cliffs. Think limestone that has worn apart or broken over time and you walk between them. Fat man's nightmare is really more child sized and the refrigerator cave is a real cave.

A recommendation about the suspension bridge: make a sign. If you are afraid of heights, don't bother walking all the way to the bridge, even to take a photo of a family member. The trails are one way and to walk back to the parking lot, you have to join a different coloured hiking route that takes much much longer.

We went on a cold snowy December day and the caves were not open so there's no real activity. For our family of 4 it was over a hundred dollars to basically hike in a park and play at the playground. This is more than double/triple I'd expect to pay for this kind of place so I kinda feel it's a rip off tourist trap.

Thank you for visiting. As an outdoor Attraction, activities and services offered will vary depending upon how much snow we receive. Our winter trail and activity report is updated each morning, and we encourage our guests to check the report to plan for their visit and understand what is open. Without the snow to offer snowshoeing or cross country skiing, your day trail pass would have included access to 12km of hiking trails meandering throughout an old growth forest, Southern Ontario's longest Suspension Bridge, lookouts, children’s adventure playground, scavenger hunt and pathway of wooden carvings. Your comments regarding pricing will be provided to our Management Team.

Highly recommend if you want to see beautiful fall colours. 15 kms of trails are available with lookout points along the way. The hiking is easy and you can choose from short or longer hikes.

I recommend that you arrive before noon to give yourself time to see the scenic caves, the suspension bridge, and do some hiking. You'll need to bring running shoes or hiking boots to enter.

Definitively worth the trip to the scenic caves and suspension bridge on your visit to Blue Mountain. Suspension bridge was cool but the caves were amazing. Would not recommend for small children but teenagers and above should be able to handle the hike and rocks through the caves. Great views and amazing formations.

Thank you for visiting us. We are glad you enjoyed our 15km hiking trail centre, the caves and suspension bridge. Our caves/crevasse self-guided trails weave throughout seventeen unique geological features, naturally carved millions of years ago by glacial ice. We have lots of activities and adventures to keep all ages busy for the day. Hope you created some wonderful memories! We look forward to welcoming you back again.

Scenic Caves was a half a day trip for us, maybe 3hrs. The trails were very well maintained and had some gorgeous views. I would recommend stopping by if around Blue Mountain for a few days. The caves and suspension bridge are awesome to walk through, not just for kids although the main area will seem like it. If you’re a hiker it’s not the hardest of routes. The ground is covered in wood chips to make walking easier but the caves are left natural. Blue Mountain hiking is a bit longer and more difficult if comparing. There’s free parking out front and yes the $30 entrance fee is a bit steep...

Thank you for sharing your day trip experience and for taking the time to write a review.. Scenic Caves Nature Adventures is located just outside Collingwood, at the top of Blue Mountain, but separate from the Resort. We're delighted you enjoyed our newly expanded hiking trails. There are 15 km. to explore, all well market and designated by length and level of difficulty. The trail of caves/caverns/crevasses is more challenging with steep inclines, stairs, uneven rocky terrain and boulders. As you discovered, there are also many family-friendly activities offered: gemstone mining, mini-golf, feed the fish at the trout pond, Children's Adventure Playground. The admission offers all day access and parking is free.
