- 599AngelaToronto, Canada522 contributionsFine wines and ciders on the patioWe were early for our reservation at Georgian Hills but they seated us just wine on their "tasting bar" patio and brought the samples to our table. Between the two of us, my friend and I sample five wines and ciders of their 20+ offerings. Server was friendly behind her plexiglass mask. We bought some wine and cider so they waived the tasting fee. We got some good suggestions. It was very windy on the patio but otherwise very pleasant.Visited October 2020Written October 7, 2020
- HarleenVaughan, Canada3 contributionsWhat a beautiful experience! This winery is absolutely stunning! The staff was so kind and friendly and really know their wine. It was such a peaceful experience to just sit outside in the sun surrounded by the beautiful greenery all around with a glass of delicious white wine. We were not here for long, but I am so glad we went and would recommend it to anyone looking to relax and unwind while enjoying some great wine. The shop was also really nice, they have a range of items like jams and preserves. We are not wine experts by any means, but we still really enjoyed the wine tasting as well. We got to try a wide range of things, from cider to white to red to dessert ice wine!Visited July 2020Written July 9, 2020
- Travel7YYZToronto, Canada273 contributionsGreat Vibe, Friendly, Good WinesAn excellent place to see what the boundaries of cold climate wine production is achieving these days in the county. Tasting portions are available for all their wines, and the waive the whole fee if you purchase. As for the wines themselves, I’ve had previously but it was great to experience a greater variety of the hybrids growing here - along with the wines they make from Niagara fruit (Pinot Noir & Chardonnay). Of the many sampled, all were well made. Long gone are the days of “foxy” hybrid red wines, at least from this crew. Staff were knowledgeable and most friendly. Spec sheets at the ready for any more detailed questions you might have. Lovely setting to get some food and sit amongst the vineyards. Well worth a visit.Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten August 7, 2023

My friends and I went to Vinestock, an event that raises funds for music programs in local schools. My second time attending and both times very organized, great music, free shuttle from collingwood, good food, clean washrooms, great variety of drinks alcoholic and non and friendly staff. Kid and dog friendly too! The grounds are beautiful! Will go again
I’ve also been for tastings and charcuterie and that is great as well!

Super friendly staff. Different varietals than at many other Ontario wineries, possibly due to their location further north. Purchased 6 different bottles. Will definitely return when I am in the area!

What a GREAT experience. We had booked a table for two and we shared some flights of wine. The server was simply awesome. She was super attentive, helpful, and great with wine tips. We would certainly go back here.

Very unwelcoming from the owners right down to staff who were more interested in each other than customers. Wine tasted like "kit wine" as compared to the other winery's in the same area. But of most concern was ONE bathroom for both men and women and a huge wedding party then to find out some staff were out sick with COVID?? No surprise as there was no sanitation and as I said ONE bathroom for over 100 people... How are these folks still open?

If I could give this place a zero, I would. Very unprofessional establishment. Cancelled my reservations 1 week before a planned visit because they would not accommodate a group of 3 women celebrating an intimate bachelorette weekend. The customer service at this winery is absolutely terrible, they refuse to answer questions directly, return phone calls, and lack any professional qualities. Avoid this place and take you’re girl’s weekend somewhere else, there are better wineries in the area.

Vinestock was a really fun event with local bands, local wines and craft beers and was in support of South Simcoe Music Association.

July 24th saw the return of Georgian Hills Vinestock after a two-year hiatus due to COVID. And what a great comeback! Although under the severe threat of rain, Georgian Hills made every effort to make sure that the show could go on. Adequate cover in case of rain, safe cover for the entertainment, and the assurance that plenty of great food and drink was available.
Guests dribbled in in the early part of the afternoon but soon grew to a very respectable crowd who proved that good music, food, and drink were worth the risk of getting wet.
In the end, there was barely a sprinkle of rain that could be measured in 'minutes' of duration, but there was a full afternoon of eating, drinking, music, and FUN!
WELCOME BACK, VINESTOCK!
