- Nancy LMississauga, Canada6 contributionsA nice place to visit but parking is no longer free ???$7 an hour to park!!! When did this happen??? A friend and I went to the village to shop and check out the Christmas Gift and Craft Show. We live 30 away and visit the village a few times a year. How is that going to work for skiing??? I won’t be back anytime soon….Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten November 25, 2023
- EmLieselBirmingham, United Kingdom227 contributionsGreat for convenient skiingWe visited Blue Mountain while staying in Canada for two separate days of skiing and snowboarding. We had pre-booked everything (ski/snowboard wise) as we weren't sure how busy it was and collection and check in was really quick and easy. It is expensive for skiing and snowboarding but then it is everywhere really. I had a private lesson as it had been a while and the instructor was excellent - I cannot remember his name but he was really great. I also really appreciated the number of green runs as I was very nervous about returning to skiing. We ate in the village at one of the bars/restaurants and again this wasn't cheap but as expected. The food wasn't anything fancy but was enjoyable all the same. There was a real mix of shops and good for a wander round at the end of the day. The attraction for us was that firstly it was public so that we could come and do the odd day of skiing/snowboarding while we were in Canada but also it is really convenient, to park, walk up and get on the chair lifts. I would definitely visit again if I was in this part of Canada.Visited February 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten December 12, 2023
- Soyun L10 contributionsClean the damn placeThe room itself was good, a lot of space. But how clean it was? Absolutely disgusting. There were stains on the cups, table, toilet, even the damn bedsheets. And there were even crumbs in the fridge. I don’t know if they’re too lazy, or just too dumb to know how to clean properly.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten January 1, 2024
- AnnaOttawa, Canada28 contributionsBeautiful but crowdedThe village itself is lovely. Reminds me European ski town. We found a free parking spot right at the bottom of the village which was perfect! Lots of shops coffee shops and restaurants. We enjoyed just pooping in and out exploring. Since we were there on a long weekend and the place was packed. There were 30 min wait times for many restaurants we considered for late lunch. We got a day activity pass, and although the activities were worth it, the lineups were loooong and we didn’t manage to do everything we hoped to. Tip: Go early in the morning, don’t go on long weekend.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten March 2, 2024
- Robert C39 contributionsReally nice little resort, with access to Collingwood and Tobermory. We went up to the Blue Mountain resort in the summer (2023). My elder daughter, my wife and I, plus friends visiting from the UK, all enjoyed the stay. We took a side trip up to Tobermory and a boat ride to look at some of the wrecks in the area: it was pretty interesting, but the weather did not exactly co-operate (rather mizzly). We really enjoyed the BMR, had meals at at couple of the restaurants in the resort, plus one outside at a marina. We would certainly go again, if the opportunity arises.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten April 7, 2024
- The Nutty OneCarmarthen, United Kingdom26 contributionsGreat little find - interesting to see ski slope without the snow! Not in the village as such, but the ski resort is up the road. It was a lovely way to see the ski slopes - in the sunshine! Very strange to walk around the ski resort in shorts and tee shirts. The chair lifts were there and the sign posts to direct you to the different coloured / skill set slopes. They also had trail markers for trekking around. The views were fantastic from the top and you can see the lake from the top which would be awesome in the winter when it is icy. We saw on this site that you had to pay, but there was no one there to take the money and there was no barrier to prevent you walking in and around. It was very quiet with just a few people walking about. We did arrive before the "summer season" starts on 17th May, which may be why it was free!Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten May 23, 2024
- David DTuam, Ireland20 contributionsGreat day outWe went to Blue Mountain Adventure Park for a day trip. We got the Play All Day pass. It is well worth it. You can pay $5 extra per pass for early entry ( 9am - 10am) We didn't go that route, and arrived approximately 9:30am. We were ready to que for the attractions at 10am then. The Ridge Runner was our favourite attraction.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten July 9, 2024
- Theresa FPeterborough, Canada378 contributionsFun funThere is so much to do that a play all day pass makes sense. The park is getting so big that they should have benches and recycle bins around. There are lots of grandparents needing a break. We are here with two preteens, 1 teen, 2 adults and 2 seniors. We all love it!Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten July 31, 2024

Booked months ago to go to Blue Mountain Inn for this past weekend because of a good price. Thank goodness for all the honest reviews on Google reviews and Tripadviser about the price gouging of Blue Mountain. Unfortunately I do not have the exact cost of the Play All Day pass for a summer weekend, but for perspective the adult price for the Play All Day pass for a weekend in Sept is $69 (summer pricing was more than this, think it was around $89) with multiple reviews online about overselling, bothersome virtual cue, still need to wait physically in line after you are called in the virtual cue, and this is a non refundable ticket rain or shine and if some of the activities are cancelled during the day. This Play All Day pass also sells out weeks in advance so you can't even predict if it will rain the day you go. Blue Mountain also does not allow you to walk up the mountain or use their trails without buying this Play All Day pass or the Explore All Day pass.. the Explore All Day pass costing $34 per adult. And the beach is also not available for free for the Blue Mountain guests either, you need to purchase the overpriced Play All Day pass.
We ended up with a good trip because we pretty much did all activities outside of the Blue Mountain and just ate food at the resort. Definitely highly recommend Scenic Caves and Northwinds Beach which is about 5 min away from the resort and costs $5 per hour for parking.
Our stay at the Blue Mountain Inn was nice. Place is a bit dated, but the service was nice (greeters and front desk were very friendly and helpful). No problem booking pool times (1 hour slots for 10 ppl max at a time), we were even able to book for the evening we checked in at 4 pm on Fri. You can book for the next day swim time at 6 pm on a virtual sign up site theu give you when you check in (or you can do it with front desk). Breakfast was also very lovely at Pottery restaurant at the Blue Mountain Inn, even saw OPP eating there. If I were to give a score for the Blue Mountain Inn, I would give 4/5 (taking away a point because of it being a bit dated).
We also ate at Wild Wings (tasty and fresh wings and nachos, big portions, beautiful patio view of the pond, no wait for early dinner) and at Firehall Pizza (no wait, nice pizzas and pasta), and the ice cream beside Firehall Pizza (4 large scoops Kawarthas for about 6.50 plus tax). Food is definitely pricey at the Blue Mountain, but going out to eat this kind of food is expensive in Toronto too.
The 1/5 scoring is based on the price gouging for activities at the Blue Mountain. Really, we did not spend anytime in the Village except to eat because of this.

We bought all-day passes for the resort. When we arrived mid-afternoon most of the events were either cancelled or sold out. We were able to access only 1 ride that we waited over 60 minutes for and our time (which was suppose to be 20 mintues) was cut short while other riders were allowed longer.
Met many others who had the same experience. Even though we booked our tickets over a week earlier, we were told that most events were sold out and they use covid as the problem. But they should know if they are overselling their tickets. This ruined our stay and was a waste of our attending Blue Mountain. Would think twice about going back. Staff didn't appear to care.

We used to love coming to Blue Mountain pre-covid but it’s not the same anymore. First, we were staying at the Westin which is not exactly cheap and we were really upset to learn we were unable to use the swimming pool during our three night stay. At check in we learned all guests staying at any blue mountain hotel property needs to pre book their one hour swimming time slot 2-3 days before arriving on an online booking system. Would have been nice to know that there was a time limit and that pre booking was required in advance of our stay! All time slots were fully booked. Next, you need to book the play all day pass, which same thing, was all booked for our three night stay. The only option was pay as you go but that doesn’t even cover all the activities including the Blue Mountain beach access which is exclusive to hotel guests yet was all sold out. I don’t know what their logic is in selling out the all day passes yet offer pay as you go other than being a cash grab. I have two small children under 5 years old and we basically had nothing to do during our stay and would have been better off staying at home and saving the over $1500 in hotel costs. We will absolutely not return back to Blue Mountain until everything returns to normal and I would caution anyone coming here to be aware of the pre-booking restrictions

After reading a few recent reviews before heading up to Collingwood on our family trip, I was worried about what our experience at the Village of Blue Mountains would be. I am a planner and did hear from another friend that the Play All Day pass is good for a family to be able to access all the activities.
We arrived on Monday, Aug.2 before 10 am and used Parking Lot 2 (the closest to the action and ticket booth). This was a great choice as we could access our vehicle easily when needed.
There was a line to pick up tickets/wristbands and one suggestion I have is to have a separate line for those who have already pre-purchased their tickets. The friendly kiosk woman told me how to access the virtual line up and I had our first activity booked before leaving the line with our wristbands.
I am a planner and the virtual queueing system was amazing. You use a QR code to access the virtual line up website and then you pick the activity you want to do next and for how many people. You receive a text to your phone when it is time to go do the activity. We didn't wait in line for anything. You can only be in one line at a time. That being said, we used 3 cell phones to pre-book activities and did not have a problem doing everything we wanted. We felt like we got our money's worth. For example, we rode the mountain coaster at least 6 times.
Planning ahead and knowing what you want to do helps the day run smoothly. Nobody in my family was disappointed at all. We finished off our day at the slopes with dinner at Rusty's which was very delicious. Angela (our server and funny enough, gondola assistant earlier in the day) was great. She made us feel welcomed both up on the hill and at the restaurant.
***There is also a Blue Mountain app for your phone. We used it to see what stores are available and what food was available too. You can access menus too.

We had been blue mountain few times, this year we booked Aug 18 for 3 nights, I haven't go yet but it made me headach already, I have try to purchase the Play all day pass mid-July. but they are sold out already, I called the customer services and they said you can keep trying and maybe someone cancel, lucky I keep trying trying now I got 1 kids pass, but my family 4 adults and 4 kids , so what another can do is buy those play as you go tickets. is like $29 for one activity and not alone to do the gondola. I think that is crazy and I heard alot of bad experience people said this year. I already try to plan ahead and to have a relex vacation after all those lock down. But now I'm so tired to keep checking the computer every hours...If I can't get the tickets , Its not worst to pay that much for it. I'm going to cancel my stay my tickets and use those money to plan to go some where else

Including tax, we paid around 85 dollars for the play all day pass. The highlight of our day was supposed to be ziplining. Blue Mountain now requires you to use an app to regulate lineups. We registered for the zip line on the app and were told it would be a 4 hour wait. When we were 1 hour away, our spot in line was removed. We were told by customer support that the zip line was closed suddenly for the day, and that we can enjoy "the other options ". Unless you want to pay an additional 35 dollars for "add-ons", your main options are the roller coaster, the mini golf, the water tricycle, and the climbing wall for children.
This pass is a clear money grab and not worth 35 dollars, let alone 85.

Thank you, sincerely, for passing your feedback along. Given the current climate, the health and wellbeing of our guests, employees and local community continue to be our highest priority and we appreciate your commitment to following current guidelines. In many ways, this season’s Blue Mountain experience is new for all of us, and we appreciate your diligence and your kindness towards fellow guests and our team as we all navigate these updates. Following public health guidelines, as well as, working with reduced staff and capacity can result in longer than expected wait times. Currently, our virtual line software will change these projected wait times frequently, but with guest traffic, attraction maintenance and weather conditions these are only estimated wait times. We appreciate your feedback as we work with new technologies to adapt to the changing COVID-19 restrictions. Our Play All Day Passes offer the option for a 40% discount off on the following add-on adventures: Woodlot Low Ropes, Timber Challenge High Ropes and Mountaintop Segway Tours. We hope that you will consider revisiting Blue Mountain again so that we can begin to reinstate your confidence in us as a company.

A shout out to Carol, who with patience and kindness helped us plan our day pass activities. The roller coaster was fast and furious. Super scenic views. Mini golfing was very slow and relaxing. But we found that it was a little too long. Restaurants were quite expensive but we did find the air conditioning to be welcome. The stores in the village were also very pricey but quirky and fun. Had a nice time walking around the village and taking in the sites. The open air gondola ride should have been marked explaining that you have to wait in line to go up and then again to go down. You cannot take a round trip which is what we were expecting. Although the views were beautiful. Paddle boat activity line took much too long! It was not super well-organized. Woodlot low ropes were absolutely awesome. Not too difficult but still exciting. At the woodlot rope activity shout out to Cole with a great sense of humour and super helpful personality. By the evening the village was much too crowded and was very unpleasant and hard to social distance due to the masses of people that were there.

I have never been more disappointed in a vacation experience in my entire life! For anyone who is looking to come to Blue Mountain for a vacation this summer, DON'T!!! It will save you a lot of money and headache. Here is my Cole's Notes version - we bought tickets two weeks ago to go to the swimming pool. At the time, you had to book your swimming an hour before you wanted to go. We booked FOR July 2nd - a specific day. NOW, they changed their booking policy but didn't notify us and they are now COMPLETELY booked for the next two days! How did they try to accommodate us? They openly admitted that they took our money and over-sold! They won't even attempt to try to fit us in even though they have 10 open spots (that are not advertised) to accommodate all of us. They are completely unethical to take our money. They even admitted that we are not the only people who complained about their business practices, lack of communication, and extremely disappointing customer service. It is unethical to sell a service, not provide it and not do anything . I get that you have limited space due to COVID. Trust me, I understand. we have all been suffering over the last year and a half but, you CAN NOT sell a product to hundreds of people but only be able to deliver to 30. You have not only ruined my entire experience here and my entire day but you have broken the hearts of 5 kids who were looking forward to spending time together at the pool. Your 'policies' are a joke and so are your business practices!

Thank you, sincerely, for passing your feedback along. At the time of your visit, as per Public Health's restrictions of Stage 3, our pool capacities are very limited and this has impacted our pool capacities significantly. Our pools are now using an online booking system to reserve a time slot. Due to the high demand of guests wanting to use the pool, these time slots are quickly booked. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with new technologies to adapt to the changing COVID-19 restrictions. We appreciate that you have taken the time to share your experiences we are able to improve our services going forward.

The accommodations were comfortable, however, unlike other resorts that invested in renos during COVID-19 shut down, the villages it seems had not. Paint peeling, damaged wood paneling, very damaged roof shingles and oven door was damaged. Not what what you expect when paying $450/night. The app to book your pool time was not working for us, probably due to the poor internet service, so we called the front desk for assistance. The employee was less than egar to help, perhaps she would rather be ay home collecting CERB - eventually she caved and booked us a time leaving us feeling regret for choosing to go there for our family getaway.

We came to Collingwood for a two night family vacation with our 2 kids (8 and 5). We got there on Saturday around 12:30pm and were told that all attractions were sold out by 9:30am. We were told we could purchase play all day passes online but when we checked, none were available the next day or what seemed until August. Then we were told to come early morning to buy Gondola tickets. We’ll try tomorrow and hope for the best! We then called the scenic caves and they were also booked for the entire day. We tried getting a boat through a Marina but the winds were too high. Unfortunately, the village was super busy day and night and not much social distancing happening. Most people wore masks and some didn’t. If you’re looking for an activity, I would suggest buying play all day passes way in advance before spending the money on a hotel to come here. Nothing much to do last minute but go to the beach. The kids loved the beach but were disappointed we couldn’t take in the other attractions! I guess that’s what you get during COVID!

2 bedroom suite in Seasons of Blue
• What type of coffee maker is in suite? Ex: keurig, pot with filter for ground coffee etc.
• How many televisions are in the 2 bdrm suite?
• The website states only 1 bathroom in a 2 bdrm suite but I am pretty sure I saw 2 bathrooms in some other guests reviews. Can you clarify please?

I wanted to ask. Whether we need to purchase tickets to visit Blue Mountain? Or we can just visit and look around without buying any tickets for activities there?

There are lots of shops to browse around in so you don't have to buy tickets for rides. If you are bringing kids, they will see the rides and want to join in. Due to covid, a limited number of tickets are available so it's best to book online well in advance. The play all day ticket is the most economical.

We are planning to visit Blue Mountain Village this Sunday, for a day trip from Toronto. There will be 10-12 of us and would like to walk around the village, shops, etc. and perhaps sit down by the beach, enjoy a picnic. What would be the best way to do that? I have never been there before, so specific direction would be greatly appreciated. Also, if we want to ride the gondola - do we have to purchase the day pass? What are the activities that can be done without purchasing the pass? Thanks.
