Interesting place, with nice parks and some neat exhibits

The Saitobaru Burial Mound is quite out of the way. Unless you are into history or archaelogy you may find this place quite uninteresting. It is quite a large area and there are beautiful flowers when we were there. Be careful if you walk into the tomb- very long opening - watch your head when you get out. Abit eerie.

The TripAdvisor title is a bit out on this, not a tomb but a large tomb complex dating from 3AD. Not as old as European buriel mounds but interesting just the same. Wiki has all the text. Car parking is fairly liberal around the area. We did about half the area on foot and covered 3.1 miles walking between mounds.... More
