It's a beautiful and moving place which remembers all those lost in the battle from all sides of the conflict. You can visit the memorial museum and peace hall, or wander through the monuments to people from different prefectures and groups who were killed, while...More

This park really does have history, memorials and great views all in one place. Spectacular ocean views along solemn burial grounds. Great place to spend an afternoon walk and appreciate Okinawan history.

I'd love to give this place a 3:5 as it was more than just average but not quite very good. The view the memorial Park overlooks is stunning however and it is humbling to all those who died's names on the stones. The water fountain...More

This is the 3rd leg of our day 1 tour. The place hopefully remind people that there are no winners in wars, only casualties - more than 200,000 people perished in Okinawa alone. This place reminds me of Corregidor back home......

This was a very impressive memorial to the World War II battle for Okinawa. It is depicted from the viewpoint of the Okinawan people, not the Japanese or Americans. Some might not agree with all of the viewpoints but it seemed to offer a fair...More

A place for reflection and contemplation. The park is well set out and doesn't attempt to explain the war but does provide a sense of the futility and waste of war.

You can make it, but make sure you include ShuriCastke to visit. The Peace Park is open and spacious so when on site, move quickly or you will spend your whole time there. Good luck
