This bridge is amazing, the views over the gorge are breath taking but for me the most interesting thing was actually crossing the bridge itself. I don't like heights much but I prepared myself and went for it. I loved it! You do need to cross slowly and mind every step you take as the slats that form the footpath... More

The roads in the mountain can get very narrow and winding with two way traffic. Make sure your GPS showing you a route you feel comfortable with. The place is very pretty secluded.. though with a lot of tourists... You can cross the bridge or play with the wooden cable cart to pull yourself across the valley... they are both... More

I commented under the Kazurabashi bridge that this really is the choice of visit. The drive here is special and the ambience truly warrants the effort. There is not a lot of difference between the two in construction or view, but the peace here is a whole different world.

this pair of bridges, although all strengthened with metal strings, are worth a visit. Its quite and not over crowded and also hasn't been made too much into a touristic circus with shops around etc. The nature around is gorgeous

I really enjoyed this area more than the other vine bridge. This one feels more natural and not as touristy. We went early in the morning and we had the whole place to ourselves! We walked across both bridges with no problems. I will say that it is a little bit scary because of the gap between the wooden slats... More

Just be aware that the term "vine bridge" is a slight misnomer - they are steel cable bridges wrapped in dead vines, the vines themselves do not support the bridge at all. Everyone goes to the the Kazura bridges near the entrance of the valley, meaning they are ridiculously crowded and quite frankly, less impressive. Come further into the valley,... More

A long way from other tourist sites, the advantage of going to Okuiya is that it is not very crowded. You can enjoy the beautiful river gorge and amazing rope bridges at your leisure, walking back and forth across them as you please. Take a picnic and make it a day, knowing that the pretty drive there and back is... More

I agree with some of my fore-writers in so far that this is an equally brilliant piece of engineering. It can be enjoyed with lesser company and one can take extra time to do the crossing and take pictures. Certainly worth the time, effort and entrance fee to Experince this Samuari Crossing

This Bridge was quiate long way compare to Iya Kazura Bridge.. But good thing was there was not so many people around. It was nice and quaite. When you on the ground bridge doen't look so scary but when you walk on it , you feel like, oh My God! Because you can see the ground and river through from... More
