Not a lot happening but interesting.

If you want to see people engaged in the production of Calvados you will probably be disappointed, Unlike an earlier visit to a fromagerie there was very little going on here, but... read more

It's one of the more mass-marketed places, so we didn't do the tour, only bought some calvados. The shop experience was okay, their calvados is very good. I'd recommend visiting a smaller house for a distillery tour and then going here to stock up.

Our large group contracted with a bus company and private guide for a trip from Paris to the beaches of Normandy. Along the way, our tour guide had us stop here. While it was interesting, I personally would have rather had more time at the American Cemetery. We were shown a short film about Calvados. We then were taken into... More

Very disappointing waste of time this visit. The staff offered contradicting information on times for a visit. When we eventually started out tour we were promised that there would be some English interpretation. This was not forthcoming. I tried to follow in French but found the commentary and attractions - a mock-up of an old apple press and some vats... More

A great little tour. Museum, Video, Vats then the tasting. We could taste every vintage up to 20 years with free refills !!! The lady guide was so informative. Definitely worth a visit...

If you want to see people engaged in the production of Calvados you will probably be disappointed, Unlike an earlier visit to a fromagerie there was very little going on here, but I guess that is the nature of the beast. A little processing and lots of waiting. It was never the less an interesting visit and we learned a... More

For ten euros per adult (child age 7 free) we visited the museum, saw a 15 minute film that was very interesting and although in French had English subtitles and then had a tour of the facility. The aroma around the barrels was lovely; the so-called 'Angels Share' and our guide was happy to answer our questions and spoke good... More

First a museum after a short film with subtitles and the cave visit than the tasting (which is 3.30 euro or 10 euro) Very touristic. We visited farms (for free) around the area where they made their own (cidre, calvados) and had nice conversation with them including tasting.

Greeted warmly by the company's representative, our large group was guided through several sections of the facility, including the museum which reviewed the history of the entire process, including some of the original equipment used to prepare the local fruit for fermentation. A short video was a good introduction to what we experienced in the tour. We visited the large... More

In the past we have bought Calvados of this brand and we noticed the place when we passed by. We called in a few days later and took the tour, worth paying the 10€ for the VIP as you get a goody bag that has a miniature a small glass a fridge magnet and a hat in addition to the... More

We were privelaged to spend over 2 hours with the cellar master and guide at Pere Magloire 2 weeks ago. The tour ended with a tasting of all the different types of Calvados they produce. Impressive.
