The house doesn't open to the public until 1pm on open days so we started off getting a cuppa at The Pavilion tea rooms which were lovely. We then wandered around the arboretum before heading up to the house. It was well worth the wait as the rooms are kept so well and the history is very interesting. Definitely worth... More

Every June this stately home close to the West Sussex border in Hampshire plays host to The Garden Show and whether you are a gardener or not it is a summer event not to be missed. Filled with every gardening need, plants and flowers it is also host to artists, sculptors and artisan crafts people selling their wares. It makes... More

Stanstead park has a lot to offer to many. You may want to visti the house, but even if you don't there is plenty to see and enjoy. The park itself is wonderful, with some really special examples of old enormous trees of exotic type, and the maze. There is a garden center (my wise says it is really good... More

There is something for everyone here all at a reasonable cost. Our 2 1/2yr old granddaughter had a wonderful time in the well-laid out playground, running round in the maze, trying out her putting skills and drawing on the big blackboard and not least riding on the miniature railway (twice). The staff were all extremely friendly and the whole place... More

Literally had the nicest panini I've had in a long time here. Sat outside and enjoyed strolls around the grounds. It's a good location and they hold great events all year.

This was my first visit in early February 2017. It was a sunny dry day and people were sitting outside at tables in the sunshine have their refreshments. There were great looking cakes on display, but we had jacket potatoes which were delicious and ample. Tea for three came in a pot, with milk and packet sugars and quite small... More

Enjoyed a visit here with my family, plenty for all to enjoy. Garden centre, big grounds to walk around, childrens play area, tea rooms and a historic home (charge for that bit) to stroll around. Free parking.
