You simply cannot visit Riviera Nayarit without a stop at the Sunday market at the marina! We visited the fish market throughout the week for great fish. Make sure you get there early to get the best selection of fresh fish. We made the mistake of getting there later one day and there way little to choose from, unless we... More

Great source for fresh fish. Great prices. Go early. Only thing frozen was the octopus. Avoid the weekends as it is too crowded with gringos selling to other gringos at the flea market. Flea market, however, was better than the one in downtown Vallarta

Don't go on weekends. Too touristy but during the weekday (Monday being one of the best) this place becomes a true fish market. The fish mongers know their fish and can clean and fillet the fish like few would know how. The tuna is carved off the caught fish and on occasion they will have never frozen large shrimp. If... The quality and quantity of vendors is excellent. Organic food, glass blower, crafts and clothes and lots of great food. Music makes this a must experience again and again.

So glad we were in town on a Sunday, and could taxi to the market from Bucerias. We shared a cab/van with a family who happen to be leaving our hotel at the same time. When we arrived, we immediately found the coffee guy. 10 peso/cup. Some of the best Mexcian Coffee we had on our trip...went back for a... More

We try to get here each time we are in the area and are always amazed at the value. The tuna is our favorite and we splurge just because it is so inexpensive. The other day they cut us a piece off the fish as the fish had not been filleted yet. It was right in the middle absolutely beautiful.... More

The La Cruz Sunday market is way more than a fish market. Living in Sayulita we have visited many local markets and give the La Cruz market high marks on the number and quality of the folk art and crafts found here. The booths surround the boat harbor and abound in specialty foods, drinks and baked goods. The crafts are... More

On Sunday, there is a huge market with food, clothing, art. An interesting 1 hour bus/collectivo ride from the Grand Mayan (to Walmart then a second vehicle in the direction of Punta de Mita). Enormous variety all starting at 10 a.m. Be prepared for a large crowd. If you arrive around 11 a.m. you will be tempted by a wide... More
