Part of the Peninsula Tour offered by Thompsons. Donnie, our guide was excellent. Gave us tips from washrooms to restaurants to how to maximize time. Nothing like seeing an ostrich walking with the surf as the backdrop. Magnificient views and a must-do.

We loved it. Wonderful drive from Cape Town through Kalk Bay, Simon's Town, Boulders where we did the penguins and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve all taking about 90 minutes was inspiring. The views from the cliffs leading to the lighthouse at the Cape are extraordinary. A fabulous drive back along the west coast through Chapaman's Bay yielded... More

Awesome experience especially for my boys, a real treat. Flying Dutchman to the lighthouse not to be missed. The route to the point is great and what a spectacular scenery!! I would definitely recommend it to any Cape Town visitor.

Cape of Good Hope is one of my favourite places to visit. On my last visit I had the unique experiece of a windless, clear, sunny day. The sea was like a pond and whales were plashing below in the sea while we hiked on the cliff path above. We saw antelope, and baboons as well. The fynbos was stunning... More

Don't miss the tram to the lighthouse. You can take the tram up the mountain and walk down. It is an easy and enjoyable walk.

Lots of tour buses rolling in making it very difficult to get good pictures. It's a place where I can say that I've been there but would not make a special trip to go back.

Far more beautiful and spectacular than the famous Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point is the rugged and sublime end point of the Cape Peninsula at the most southwestern tip of Africa. Two peaks dominate the promontory, the higher one is the site of the older light house (a funicular and some steps bring visitors to a breathtaking panorama platform... More

The most famous cape in the world ("discovered" by the Portuguese explorer and seafarer Bartolomeu Diaz in 1488) presents a beautiful sight when seen from Cape Point. The access road along the beach is spectacular and there is a good chance wild ostriches will run across the way.
