We went to Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point as part of a tour package. Beautiful scenery along the way and at the Cape. If you are fit and up for a challenge, you can walk up to the lighthouse instead of paying $$ to take the funicular. Very very windy the day we were there...always windy there. Although... More

This is a lovely place to walk around and take pictures. It is incredible to see two oceans at the same time.

The views from the lighthouse are really stunning. It can get fairly busy at peak season and get a bit crowded around the lighthouse. Try timing your visit to avoid peak times. One of the best things about visiting Cape Point is the trip to get there. The best option to see the most is to travel down one side... More

We just returned from a trip to South Africa with Smartours. We spent part of a day driving to the Cape of Good Hope, where we had an opportunity to visit the lighthouse and walk along the shore. The views are amazing. We took the funicular (and 127 additional stairs) up to the top of the lighthouse, where you can... More

The road to the Main Gate is also spectacular, so be sure to pay attention when on route. You enter the main gate and pay the entry fee. From there on it's about 15 minutes drive to the parking lot. Be sure to visit early, so you can beat the crowd which start arriving from around noon. There is a... More

We drove to the Cape of Good Hope and spent most of the day there. Plenty of boulders for the kids to hike on. We also saw some seals off the coast.

It's about an hours drive from cape Town. Worth a visit just for the view. Also it's the tip of South Africa. Where you see the two oceans Indian and the Atlantic ocean meet. The day we went was very windy. You can walk up to the light house if you wish.

Cape of good hope, southern most tip of Africa presents an amazing view. Water on three sides and fierce wind adds a magical touch to the whole experience. Do stand on rocks and enjoy the wind, feels almost like flying. The place has a tram to go to lighthouse. While it may looks like Indian ocean and Atlantic ocean meets... More

This has to be one of the worlds most spectacular spots. Take time to avoid the crowds by taking the 45 minute hike to the Cliffs above the Cape. The path is well maintained and the views are spectacular. Your alternate is to join the thousands of other tourists taking pictures at the side of the sign or fighting your... More
