Miles of lovely sand
Sep. 2020
At low tide, there are miles of lovely sand to walk through on the beach which is surrounded by sand dunes. The picture is not a true representation in my opinion. There is a visitor centre there and the toilets are spotlessly clean. Great place to walk the dogs. Just need to be cautious as there is a rip tide as the tide comes in.

Beautiful beach!!
Sep. 2020
This has to be one of the best beaches I have visited, we were staying in Borth so walked the entire length of the beach, around the estuary where most people park and back through the sand dunes.
The beach is perfect and unspoilt, it is perfect for dog walking as the beach stretches from Ynyslas down to Borth!!!
Truly an amazing and beautiful place!!

Great Beach

Stunning beach huge expanse when the tide is out. Drive right to the north end of Borth to where you can see across the estuary and you can park on the beach.

We crossed the dunes and walked right around the headland, amazing. Then spent some time on beach. Wonderful.

Wonderful big sandy beach.

Wonderful family beach, parking is on the beach no problem with crowding as there is so much room. There is a toilet block that is covid safe.

Sunshine in the dunes
Sep. 2020
Beautiful sand and pebble beaches, had a lovely walk in the sunshine with the dogs. Particularly loved running up and down the dunes...ample parking on the beach, clean and good signage.
Ice cream can was a welcome bonus.

Intimidating, blocked on entry.

Visited today but on approach to the Estuary you are blocked by a vehicle and a young man who gets out and wants to engage with you?

Thinking that it's for parking fees and having no cash we turned around like many others.

We went into Borth but really wanted to be by the estuary so ventured back to see if card was accepted.
Due to covid and underlying health issues we did not wish to engage with anyone.

Once again at the entrance to the estuary a vehicle is parked with no explanation and no covid advice signs but this time a woman approaches, I shouted over and asked about parking and the woman replied there is no fee and starts to approach. I asked her to stay where she was and at this point the woman starts to approach the drivers side and again I asked her to stop.

This is dangerous and unnecessary you should not block the entrance and force people to engage during a pandemic.

Totally intimidating and no Covid 19 best practice signage.

Wonderful scenery
Sep. 2020
I have loved this area ever since I was a child. We taught our first dog to swim here because you can drive and park on the beach and it's just a small walk over to the water.

We recently visited with our new puppy because we wanted to see how she reacted to the beach and water and she had a fab time, she got a dirty as possible and there was no swimming training required, she jumped straight in like a duck to water.

Beautiful.

unspoilt . Worth a visit. Clean beach. could be significantly improved if dogs were kept off the beaches as they were a nuisance and there were far too many of them off the lead and a lot of noisy barking.
