It was my first visit to Kilfenora and Tony's 'Heart of the Burren' walk was the highlight of my trip. The walk was gentle and the scenery beautiful. We were shown flowers, a tumble-down tenant farmer's dwelling, the remains of an early Christian settlement, and a holy well. He was well-informed about the geology, the strange mix of mediterranean and... More

I was down in Ballyvaughan for a few days and was keen to do some sort of outdoor activity which embraced the great outdoors and Tony's heart of the Burren walks stood out. In the end there were only two of us on the tour, it was a very wet and blustery day but Tony made our adventure in the... More

Tony Kirby lead a group of 17 of us through the Burren. The views were incredible and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the Burren. He knew the perfect spots to take us. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants a more unique tour of the Burren. Tony even made the time to stop so... More

We really enjoyed our walk. We learned so much, Tony was happy to answer any/all questions our group had. And we were lucky to have amazing weather. I'd highly recommend.

We had a wonderful walk with Tony over the Christmas holiday. I informed him in advance that we were traveling with my disabled daughter and he was very helpful about planning a tour to accomodate her wheelchair... Tony is a wealth of information... He is pleasant and cheerful and made our walk special. We were pleased to have started our... More

Get ready for 2 hours of informative, thoughtful, and entertaining education on this unique and seemingly barren landscape. Tony does a great job at engaging his guests and teaching the history and present of the Burren. Get ready for an easy but interesting hike and bring your questions, he does a great job at receiving them.

We were in a group of friends and family alike in a tour of the Burren on a bright and fresh January afternoon led by Tony Kirby. This tour is not just an informative experience but more of a slice of what it means to be part of this special treasure of Irish landscape and it's relationship with local people.... More

Tony Kirby spent a day with my family, rather than we with him. In January and this was a great choice! A little bit of sight seeing, mixed with (easy to moderate) hike, mixed with archeological experience, presented by Tony. He is engaging, eloquent, curious (questions welcomed) and in love with Ireland and its history. My wife and kids (age... More

The wonder of The Burren was brought to life for me spending a day with Tony. Mid-winter was a perfect time to visit and have most sites entirely to ourselves. Tony's passion about the ecology of the area and his vast knowledge around the history, archaeology and lore made my time with Tony a real high point of my trip... More

We reserved a September day with Tony a month in advance from Hawaii. The Burren is one of our best memories of our trip to Ireland. Our afternoon adventure was filled with rich historical/geographical facts that Tony shares throughout the expansive walking paths. His vast knowledge of the Burren is only matched by his passion to share it. We will... More
