Went there few years ago and yes it changed a lot... not certain if in good but more shops with not real typical handicrafts from 🇹🇭 Plenty of Chinese everywhere, locals are still nice despite this crowd not always polite with them and some still...More

Interesting "floating" market - most of it not floating but along the canal quayside, although there are some boats with food for sale. Generally the food here is excellent, lots of variety, very cheap. Some touristy souvenir places, but overall its quite tasteful.

Friendly locals as compared to other markets. Seafood was cheap but the Thai dishes such as pad thai/vemeceilli doesn't taste as good as the ones in Bangkok city center. Coconut ice-cream is really good but doesn't come with peanut toppings like the ones in chatuchak....More

No direct route bus From BKK to Amphawa. Minivan depart hourly from Sai Tai Ma (BKK Southern Bus Terminal). One way ticket. 6/8pm weekday/weekend.

It's opened on Fri-Sun during 3pm-9pm. If u will go on Friday, u should arrive there around 5 pm. It's better for Friday.

Most likely open everyday and the mornings and evenings are likely to be the best times to go but you should ask and check at a tourist office.
