Beautiful cruise

It's amazing that going to such a beautiful locale could result in a lousy experience. The trip started off leaving about 40 minutes late with no explanation why. The boat itself was overcrowded and we were unlucky enough to be on with a large group of chain-smoking, vodka-swilling tourists. When it started to rain (obviously no fault of the tour... More

The boat cruise to Gramvoussa and Balos was beautiful. The staff were extremely helpful and even provided first aid when I cut my foot in the rocks at the gramvoussa beach. The music on the boat was terrible ( perhaps just don't have music at all so people can just enjoy the scenery!). We also found the boat to be... More

I wish I had seen the bad reviews when I glanced at Trip Advisor before spending $81 CAD (€54) on this "cruise". It is NOT a cruise, as another review said, but a ferry that dumps people on and off the stops. It is not comfortable, relaxing, or enjoyable. To start with, the boat we were on was simply not... Wow, recommend by a friend. Arranged trip from hotel, bus to kissamos to join boat. First stop Gramvousa kids and I climbed to the ruins of the old castle, amazing, views, scenery to die for breathtaking. Next stop balos lagoon, ferried in on a smaller boat...wow double wow.. The beach, water colours, absolutely stunning, a place to relax and take in... More

We traveled to Kissamos harbour as late in the season as one can get. I was surprised how many people had the same idea. All passengers on board had squeezed themselves onto the top deck to enjoy the view. I elected to sit on the lower deck for the sake of comfort. Outbound from the starboard windows one can enjoy... The boat was clean and organised. Food and drink available. Beware of unexpected hazardous rocks when disembarking at Balos Lagoon.

If you go to Gramvousa you have to visit the forte. It's not easy to reach, but worth the effort. The view is stunning. It's a must go see!

The boat trip is a bit long, especially when it's crowded as it was (we though it wouldn't be as it's the end of September). The company should have a limit of bookings per boat as we struggled to find a little corner of bench to sit. Gramvousa looks amazing, Balos would have looked amazing if less people there.

Very nice views in Graumvus island and Balos lagoon. As plus: Ship stop near seaside. Long time taken spend at Graumvus and lagoon. As minus: long entrance and exit from ship. Full ship of people. Problem to find sitting places and the photos from ship. Ecological fees, but in the Balos are garbage (this problem more from visitors)

A pricey visit, on an over crowded ferry, (This is not a boat trip!) to a rather mundane beach/lagoon. True, it looks spectacular from a distance, but when you get there, it is decidedly disappointing, with loads of rocks to walk across, unavoidable, and not easy when you're only in flip flops...we were not advised about wearing decent footwear. The... More
