Skiing february 2017

Hafjell is nice for families and has a nice snowboard park-area for advanced snowboarders. But I still prefer Trysil, since the variety is larger and the hotels are better.

No need for traveling for hours up into the mountains, conveniently located just 15 mins from LIllehammer and 2.5 hours from Oslo is one of Norway's best ski resorts. More than 30 well maintained slopes for every skier, may be a bit lacking for the really challenging steep ones, but for families, snowboarders, couples in love and everyone else it's... More

This is a very nice site for skiing. There are a mulitude of different slopes for each taste and skill level - and the view is stunning!

It is a great place to go skiing, but that is when they actually take care of the slopes, which never happened during my stay. The red ones were mostly ice with a bit (5-10mm) snow here and there. The blue and green ones are full of hops and snow piles, that made me get a strong concussion in a... More

An efficient skiing resort with a good range of slopes for all levels. Good possible for forest run, but not enough snow so far this year. Perfect for kids.

A fairly small and compact skiing station. One central cabin-lift and several chair-lifts. The top is at ~1000 meters. A few of the pistes a lit for night skiing. Equipment hire on-site, of course. Efficient and friendly service. Lift cards by the hour or day.

Skiing in winter (downhill and cross country skiing). Downhill biking, hiking in the mountains and fishing in the mountain lakes in the summer.

The resort is fine during winter with good apres ski if you can suck up to the seasonal workers. Anyway, we stayed in their lodges during summer and can only recommend them for excellent value for money. By far the only sensible alternative for accomodation in this area outside the skiiing season.

We have been previously and had a great time. The location is wonderful and very picturesque. As a family of 15 we normally all meet somewhere and have been skiing in Norway the past few years over Xmas. Unfortunately for the Xmas 2015 time period, there was not much snow, which meant not many slopes were open and those that... More

Something for everybody here, from beginners slopes to big jumps, black pists and wild forest runs. Even the Olympic Winter Games 1994 took partly place here. Hafjell has very well groomed slopes, even if it may me a little slushy in the later parts of the day in end the season in April. About 2,5 hours drive from Oslo. Plenty... More
