Greatly recommended

I had low expectations when I went to this museum. I must now recommend it to anyone who is visiting Penafiel. Beautiful and innovative ways of showing history.

Small and innovative

This small museum in the centre of Penafiel was a real little gem. the displays are presented in several innovative formats and tells you about the history of the area.

Great surprise!

Excellent museum

Modern museum tucked away in the historic core of the town. Archaeology room excellent and staff very helpful.
