After many years of volunteer work in the field of protection of the environment I decided to turn my passion for nature and for Sicily also in work. I'd like people knew (and loved) my land. It's wonderful with its nature, history, cuisine, geology and the ancient origins. I love to get people to Etna, one of the most famous an beautiful volcanoes in the world, recently declared a UNESCO World Heritage. In Acicastello and Acitrezza I can show you the first examples of volcanic activity in our area. In Taormina and Syracuse the history of ancient Greece. I'm a freelance guide and I drive a 9 seats van, so I can make very cheap proposals for families and little groups. I've been joining the campaign of "Addiopizzo", the organisation established by citizens who refuse to pay the "pizzo", the Mafia extortion money.

We were picked up promptly at our hotel and our Etna Tribe guide was a friendly and informative guy. Etna was shrouded in cloud so we didn't pay for the additional cable car trip to the summit. This was an added extra and not included in the guided tour. However we had a far better time having a guided walk... More

I have been to Etna with some friends in October 2014. We booked this excursion online and the outcome was very satisfying. Maurizio was exactly on time, picked us up in front of the hotel. His communication was excellent. He stopped us in a few places to explain the history of etna and show us some good views for photos.... More

We had a great day with a great guide. Mauricio took the time telling us about the etna. He is a passionate man and you can tell by the way het talks about everything that he loves what he does. This makes the whole trip even better. I would recommend him to everyone!

We visited with our guide Maurizio the Northern part of the Etna volcano, which is „wilder” than the Southern part. The landscape was really impressing: white tree carcasses, different types of lava and the craters (not only one!), pictures before/after lava eruption. The eruption of the lava was also filmed for Star Wars 2! Maurizio is a very nice person.... More

Hi, it was a real pleasure to accompany you. I love the north side of Etna. As you said, in it it is possible to see wonderful lanscapes. Just one thing :-) Star War 3 was filmed here, not 2, just in case you are looking for it. Thank you very much for your pleasant company. Bye bye, Maurizio More

It was a very interesting and not to hard walk up to the 11year old craters of etna. Maurizio did show us a lot of things. Such as the old map to make us realize how much changes around Etna in 10 years. We also looked at a lava cave. He told us about the history of these caves and... More

Hi Maya, you are right, the new craters of Etna north are very beautiful. When you come back I'd like to show you others beautiful etna landscapes like Valle del Bove and (in Catania) the castle surrounded by lava flow. By by and thank you very much for your review. More
