Went to visit the viaduct with my family this summer. It was a warm and sunny day and the viewing point( not the official one) behind the bridge was reached after climbing a soggy area. Definitely, need suitable foot wear if you want to get...More

Do check what times the train comes. It came around 10:45 for us. I heard anywhere between 10:40-11:00. One website said 11:20, so glad I went ahead and did some more research. I think it would be disappointing to go and miss the train. We...More

Nice to see, but I really don't know what time you'd need to get there to get a parking space. You can park at the visitor centre for both this and the lochside attraction - both easy walking distance. Parking (if you are lucky enough...More

Standing in drenching rain, we were happy to get to see the little steam train on the viaduct - I am glad we didn't miss it! The walk was well worth the sight.

Make sure you get there with plenty of time before the train goes past so you can pick the best vantage spot for the photo of 'Harry Potter's' train. The best photo will be of the train going from Fort William to Mallaig since the...More

Worth for a visit. Short walk up to the top of the hill. The historic steam train passed over the viaduct while we were there.

Just a tourist magnet for no reason if you're just taking the ten minute walk. Other viaducts are just as pretty without all the tourist scams. The hill is so crowded that you can't even take a decent photo of the viaduct and you have...More

This is one leg of a "3-in-1" stop: unbelievably beautiful, a Jacobite shrine (the monument) and a tie to Harry Potter (the viaduct). We followed a narrow road out to the location, arriving about 10:20am to find the parking lot full already. . . and...More

Harry potter fans haven! Be sure to check the train times before hand. You can pay £2 to park in the National Trust car park.

The viaduct is worth a visit - try to be there when the Jacobite crosses it, we especially came back for that! Enjoy your holidays!
