Nice place but crowded

Busy and lively place with a lot of shops, diving centers, bars and restaurants. Not really a good place for beach time and swimming. More like a place for time out.

We went there because our hotel was directly next to this beach. Unfortunately a lot of guides want to sell their tours. We also didn't find any shadow at the beach. After 10 minutes of walking and guide spamming we decided to leave. We took our scooter and drove to the white beach just a few kilometer far away. We... More

Alona beach is not very long...and very busy with tourists and boats. Lovely to visit and dine out on the sand, but if you are looking for a nice quiet area to swim and sunbathe look elsewhere.

lovely beach and much better in my opinion than boracay, its cleaner with crystal clear calm waters and much quieter.

It wasn't as beautiful as we expected. We were looking for a quiet place, so Libaong Panglao Beach was matching our expectations more.

Nice beach, white sand, blue sea, nothing to complain... But a lot of tourists, doesn't feel like the place has a real soul anymore. Pretty nice during the evening, to grab a drink or to eat on the beach.

It's been the third time I've been here. First time was in 1993, so virgin and most beautiful (2nd time was in 2008). Today, more commercial, but still enough space for peace, tranquility, own space, no disturbing noise from blaring discos... Just relaxed.. (of course within relative bounderies...) :)

This beach is overrun with boats, tourist crap and not pretty at all. It is good for getting an easy bite to eat if you are in this area but skip spending a day here and opt instead for White Sand Beach.
