Large tasting room but not being used due to COVID. Wines were ok, but not note worthy. Nice outside area to enjoy. Pleasant owners

While COVID-19 has definitely affected the ambience, that can't be helped. The wine is good, the service is very friendly. Unfortunately, they aren't offering flights or "portable tastings" so there are no tastings at all being done here. We are reluctant to buy a glass or a bottle I haven't tasted, so this was a big deterrent for us. Sadly, we ended up only having one glass and then leaving. That said, the atmosphere is lovely and the staff is knowledgeable.

We were very pleased with the wonderful wines and famiy atmosphere of Big Creek Vineyard and Winery!
We had a lot to talk about with the owner and his mom because we are of the same heritage. We look
forward to the new wines coming out this year....

Big creek has the best red wines in the Poconos. They don't charge for tastings because they know their wine will speak for itself. They are open an hour later than the other local wineries for tastings, and I've never been pressured to leave at closing time. The owner loves what he does and loves to share his craft with others. They also don't accept bus tours or bachelorette parties.

Absolutely beautiful location and tasting room. Friendly folks giving complimentary tastings. Loved "grandma" - a spirited, feisty woman... and the gentleman in the overalls was very nice as well. Sadly, my husband and I were not a big fan of the wine because there were many sweet wines and we prefer dry reds. We tasted the two dry red wines they had and both were still too sweet for us - one of them was effervescent. Sad for us because we really wanted to love that place. When we got there, the rather large tasting bar was full and many people were waking out with multiple sacks of wine so I'm sure there is a taste out there for their wine, it just wasn't for us. It is a great stop but I'm thinking it would be best for folks who enjoy wines on the sweeter side.

Greetings Michele; Thank for the complements but as it is mostly about the wine, I let you-all down. Improving skills and making better wine is paramount. Personality and landscape are important but come naturally and easily. Good wine is work. Making better wine will never cost us customers, some may just have a greater understanding of why they enjoy it. It has to make you smile. If you come to the Poconos on occasion I would love to recommend one or two of our neighboring wineries who might have what you are looking for. If, again, you find yourselves in our area in the future, please stop in and taste a newer vintage. It is hard to think of variation as a strong point, but sometimes it is. All the best, and thank you for taking the time. Dominic (overalls-winemaker).

I did not care for the wines but I loved the little elder lady behind the bar, she gave me informative tips and information, I will go back just to see her and say hello, she reminded me so much of my grandma. I just loved her.

Vineyard hopping on a rainy Saturday, we took a winding turn to an unknown spot. It was not very commercialized or crowded, though tastings seemed busy. We met the most interesting owner Millie and family. Son Dominic was so informative, lending to an amazing educational experience. We did not want to leave! The wine samplings were outstanding; probably some of the best we've tasted in all of PA. The structure was designed and built by the darling Italian/German rooted family. They "get it" --what it means to entertain with fine wine and good conversation. They made us feel like we were part of the family and welcomed us back any time. They weren't trying to impress us, but simply treated us like we old friends. This is unlike any other experience, so please take our advice. TRY the wine, experience good company, learn all about wines around the world, and buy a CASE of the most affordable and delicious wines in PA.
*Italian soup and antipasto on Saturday nights. Abundanza!

Good variety of wines. Free tastings and affordable bottles. Staff was very nice. They are not a restaurant but seem to offer food occasionally.

I found out about this place by their shoppe in Jim Thorpe and fell in love with the La Brusca. Went to the winery during a trip to the Poconos. Very quiet, charming winery. Millie held our tasting. Such a sweet lady. They offer soup and cheese as well as the tasting. I may not be back up this way often but will continue to order La Brusca from them hopefully for many more years to come.
