We were initially concerned about the 30 Euros for adults (17 Euros for children) admission, but it was definitely worth it. Cabarceno is a huge plot of land that served as an Roman iron mine. It has been converted to an animal preserve crisscrossed by...More

Cabarceno is not a Zoo as one might expect first hand. This is a a park where the animals experience freedom in an enclosed space. The stetting has breathtaking views, and one enjoys the experience of contemplating the wild life almost like it's own habitat....More

The park is great. The enclosures are generally excellent and some are incredible. In august the queues are far too much, nobody's fault, but it makes the failure to see anything in certain enclosures more irritating. Bird show is fantastic. The real downer is the...More

Spent about six hours here experiencing the beautiful park and wonderful animals roaming around. Totally disgusted to end our circuit at sea lion show with animals jumping through hoops doing tricks etc to a huge crowd. This did not fit at all with our overall...More

August afternoon visit. The place is good, the animals have plently of space to wonder around and they look happy. As bad points: there were too many people and traffic jams were frequent. Poor pedestrians conditions and the kids were constantly tripping out. Much of...More

We (me, my wife and two kids ages 11 and 9) almost didn't go to Cabarceno because I thought it was just another zoo but one that you had to drive through. I am so glad that we did though. We all loved it. It...More

I definitely recommend this place, not only for families with children, but also for teenagers. It has views that you don't get to see every day.. In order to visit the whole park, you have to spend at least 5 hours there. You can visit...More

It should be a nice place to visit during low season but during the month of August is a total mess due to the number of people visiting. You spend more time on the car than seeing the animals.

This is a really special wildlife\safari park just outside Santander in Calabria. They have created a BIG drive-through area in what looks like the hills of an old iron mining area (?) to house hundreds of wild animals, from cheetahs, lions and tigers, to elephants,...More

It is a very big place because the animals are within a semi-freedom status so you would need a car or a bike. I used my car so I don't know if it is possible to rent a bike

There is at least 2 restaurants. One with "a la carte" menu, and a snack type one, where you can get a quick sandwich and cold or.hot beverage. This one is of course cheaper. We did not want to spend lots of time eating, so... More
