Must do!!

German’s longest “Rodelbahn”. 2,4 km (almost 4 miles) long big fun! Several curves in open field but also in the forest. It cost app. € 25 for two adults. Ride is about 10-15 minutes down (as usual the trip by “Seilbahn” takes much more time). You can also walk uphill which saves you money.

Absolut excellent!

Absolut prefect experience!! First you go up with the lift with an amazing view about the specific character of the Allgäu. After this you can go down with the bob. The ride is the longest in Germany with around 2.8 km. Beside this you’ll find many things todo for families, thrillseeker, biker and all other.
If you are around go there!!!

Fantastic views and excellent vacation trip
Jul. 2019 • Family
Family, 2 adults, 2 kids 9 and 10 years old, visited Alpsee Bergwelt in the summer of 2019. Excellent views, excellent nature and a very fun holiday experience to go downhill with the extremely long coaster, probably difficult to experience the same thing elsewhere. The 10 year old kid went alone with the coaster and the 9 year kid went with the father. Everyone enjoyed it a lot and I can truly recommend it. However, important that the kids are mature enough and aware of safety rules, both uphill and downhill.

Super fun anytime!!

We had such a fun time on this toboggan~rodelbahn run in the Alpsee. Definitely an amazing ride down the mountain and incredible views from the chair lift too. I just kept snapping pictures even in the rain.

Be sure to grab a bite to eat in the cafe - they have outdoor seating too and I bet it is packed on nice weather days. There’s a hut at the top too.

Super long, fast ride would love to come back with that family.

A very good lunch stop.
Jul. 2019
Stopped here for lunch en-route to Birkendorf. Some of our group went up the toboggan run and really enjoyed. They said it was one of the best they had ever done. We had lunch at the restaurant which was lovely. I had the cheese soup which was outstanding, incredibly tasty and so different. I have never had anything like it before. My only criticism I would have liked nicer bread. It came with a few small slices of the sour dough German bread. A large crusty roll would have been better. My partner had the salad which was a bit plain, but plentiful and tasty. Other people in the group were not impressed with the salads, said they were very plain and there wasn't much choice on the menu. But fresh, home made food and reasonably priced. Service was quick and staff went the extra mile to speak English and explain things to us.

Incredible toboggan run and beautiful view
Aug. 2019
We passed by here on our way to Schwangau and spontaneously decided to have a look at it. That was one of the best decisions on our trip. The toboggan run is really fantastic. The view is phenomenal, the length is fantastic and you can go up to 40 km/h (24,85 mph). The queuing can take about the same time as the ride (5-10 minutes). You can either walk up to the toboggan run or use the ski lift. Since we were only passing through and therefore had little time, we took the ski lift. This takes a little while but as long as it doesn't rain it's quite pleasant. We could see the hiking trail below us and it looked feasible. The view up there was also fantastic. Beside restaurants and a children's playground there is also a high ropes course up there. It also looked very fun, but unfortunately we didn't have much time. But the most important thing was that there are alpacas up there!!! I am just kidding. But alpacas are probably the greatest animals in the world, aren't they? ;)

Although the weather was not good we road up the mountain in the chair lift which was great. We then had a bite to eat before setting off down the alpine coaster. The boys loved although they were a bit frustrated with the person I frount going rather slow however myself andmy husband could not slow down enough as we were a little scared and possibly because of the rain reducing the efficacy of the breaks . We were soaked by the end but the boys said it was the highlight of the holiday so far. They would definitely do this again my husband and i may op to travwl back gown the chair lift if
we vist again as ot us a little calmer. All in all a great family day out.

Great for young kids
Jul. 2019
We rode up with the lift, and then spent most of our time at the playground. The playground is great for kids, has a sand play area, a few water features and lots of climbing structures and slides.

Like others have mentioned, you will have to wait quite a long time to ride down the AlpseeCoaster during high season, but it was a really fun ride. We loved that it is so long, and that you have a wonderful view throughout the ride.

The view from up there is not that amazing and I wish they had built it so that you could see down from the restaurant and play area. That being said, I wouldn't come here for the view. But it was a great place to let our 4-year old play and explore for a few hours.

We had lunch at the little restaurant, too, which was okay. I wish they offered more Bavarian dishes there, though, like at other mountain restaurants. It was all frozen then deep-fried foods, not a great variety. There are definitely better mountain restaurants there, but it was better than nothing.
Service was very poor there, too. It took a while to be acknowledged although the staff kept running back and forth right in front of you and it was not very busy. A simple "hello, and just a moment" would have been enough. The kids there definitely need some customer service training.

Great fun, Greatest of staff!

If you are an Adrenaline junkie, the longest Alpine coaster in Germany is the good for your health😀. If you're a town dweller or even a village dweller (I'm African for instance), Allgau is the place to be. Wonderful scenery, great mountainscape. More beautiful than any poster card.

I was there on a rainy day. The queue on the downhill coaster wasnt long. First time being on the cable cahir lifts. Great experience. Had one weekend in Germany and it's been well spent.

Oh and the staff! They knew English and were beyond helpful. Most especially the Ladies at the ticket sales and Souvenir shop. I even think I had a crash😀. The gentlemen were courteous and accommodating of my unusual requests (I needed to record a video of my toboggan run). They even give free rain coats.

I saw the place had gotten some sort of award....they deserve more.

Oh and the cows in Allgau have bells around their necks. I think they copied the technology form Africa. The Bahima people in Uganda used to gift the "omurebe" to the most beautiful beloved cow. Only difference is all the cows in Allgau have the bells, So much lack of sentimentality in a place that has a Lion's share of my sentiments and memories of Germany.

To the staff. Thank you. I felt more human here than anywhere in Germany.

Fun the entire family
Jul. 2019 • Family
There was a non-stop fun with my kiddos 3 and 5 years old. From multiple playgrounds to a long slide there is plenty to do. If you have active kiddos you will appreciate relaxing in provided recline chairs while have you kids roam free ... petting zoo and a trampolines give a relief valve to kids energy
