What a beautiful, peaceful shrine to Our Lady. Plenty of opportunities for pray and reflection. Unfortunately we were not able to spend as much time as we would have liked, but it was still a fantastic way to pray and reflect. The shrine is easy to find and is located in a serene environment. So very glad we were able to visit and would return again.

Not Lourdes. Not Fatima. The grandeur is lacking. The shrine is simple. The people are holy, friendly and warm. A good place to visit for any person of good will and general openness to the Catholic Church or general Christian Faith.

Nothing of the scale of Lourdes or Fatima, but this much smaller shrine holds the same level of official church approval. It's easy to miss the Welcome Center (museum) and the crypt chapel, but neither should be skipped. 15 min video continuously playing in the Welcome Center gave a thorough overview of the Marian apparition and general history. Many buildings close at 4pm, though shrine chapel and grounds open til 7pm daily..

My wife and I arrived here at the shrine, easily found a parking place in their huge parking lot, entered the chapel, and we were able to go to confession before Mass. It was a fantastic way to begin our time here. After Mass my wife an I wrote out our prayer intentions and lit candles. We spent time at the grave of Adele Brise, spent time on the Rosary Walk, and also walked the Stations of the Cross on the property behind the chapel.

Be sure to go to check out the Apparition Chapel and Oratory. This is located to the front right of the chapel and downstairs under the high altar. It can also be accessed from the outside.

Our last stop was the gift shop and the cafe. We found many things that we were interested in purchasing in the gift shop. It is a small gift shop, but it had a lot to offer. The cafe offered a cool place to sit to grab a light snack and something to drink.

On the way out, we noticed a sign in the yard of a private home near the entrance road to the shrine, it said... “Apparition Soil $10 Each” and “Perfect Souvenir.” This was handwritten. My wife and I found this interesting.

God bless you and yours, and we hope your time at this shrine is time well spent.

Engaging of the soul. The grounds are worth a contemplative walk. We arrived early enough to follow our stroll with attendance at the 11am Mass held in the beautiful chapel built on the Holy Mother's apparition site in 1859.

This is a wonderful place to unwind from the stress of daily life. Take time to reflect and take in the beauty of the statues and gardens. Be sure to read the history of why this is such an important and highly visited site. The shrine is intimate and beautiful filled with spirituality and fantastic stories are told on the stained glass.

Fascinating, peasant and quiet enough for reflection. Come for the story stay for experience. A place to say a prayer, beautiful grounds to walk and a lovely outdoor stations of the cross. Our granddaughter gave her 4 year own version by interpreting the statues at each station. Quite thoughtful.
And stop by the cafe and have a cool drink or a sandwich. The volunteers are so kind and smiling.
Very nice!

I have been here twice in the past 2 years and each time there are more improvements made. Make sure you walk behind the church and walk the stations of the cross. The Welcome Center is the place to start to learn about the history and the video is nicely done. Take time to go to the lower chapel as well.

Two days ago, our group of one hundred ten boarded two buses to travel from Chicago to Champion, Wisconsin. While it took us about three and a half hours, it was worth each and every minute of our travel. What a beautiful Marian Shrine! We arrived in time to attend Mass at 11:00a.m. There were many visitors besides our group so there was a very large group at Mass that day. After Mass, we enjoyed a delicious box lunch. After lunch, we had the opportunity to visit the chapel. There are altars both upstairs and downstairs. They are beautiful places for prayer. Be sure to visit this beautiful Shrine. It is the only recognized site of a Marian apparition in the U.S.

This Shrine was the highlight of our 5 day Pilgrimage. The grounds were incredibly serene and a great place for prayer and meditation. Mass and confessions are held in the Chapel. The Shrine, built over the exact spot of the apparition is open for private meditation on the lower level.
