If you're near Green Bay, this is a place I recommend you visit (whether you're Christian or not). The shrine is at the only location in the US where the Catholic Church states the Mother of God appeared. Very peaceful.

Nothing of the scale of Lourdes or Fatima, but this much smaller shrine holds the same level of official church approval. It's easy to miss the Welcome Center (museum) and the crypt chapel, but neither should be skipped. 15 min video continuously playing in the Welcome Center gave a thorough overview of the Marian apparition and general history. Many buildings close at 4pm, though shrine chapel and grounds open til 7pm daily..

My wife and I arrived here at the shrine, easily found a parking place in their huge parking lot, entered the chapel, and we were able to go to confession before Mass. It was a fantastic way to begin our time here. After Mass my wife an I wrote out our prayer intentions and lit candles. We spent time at the grave of Adele Brise, spent time on the Rosary Walk, and also walked the Stations of the Cross on the property behind the chapel.

Be sure to go to check out the Apparition Chapel and Oratory. This is located to the front right of the chapel and downstairs under the high altar. It can also be accessed from the outside.

Our last stop was the gift shop and the cafe. We found many things that we were interested in purchasing in the gift shop. It is a small gift shop, but it had a lot to offer. The cafe offered a cool place to sit to grab a light snack and something to drink.

On the way out, we noticed a sign in the yard of a private home near the entrance road to the shrine, it said... “Apparition Soil $10 Each” and “Perfect Souvenir.” This was handwritten. My wife and I found this interesting.

God bless you and yours, and we hope your time at this shrine is time well spent.

Engaging of the soul. The grounds are worth a contemplative walk. We arrived early enough to follow our stroll with attendance at the 11am Mass held in the beautiful chapel built on the Holy Mother's apparition site in 1859.

Approved site of a Marian apparition. We stopped on a cold windy Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Not busy. 2ish hours from Milwaukee, 30 minutes to Green Bay. Property is peaceful. Lots of outside quiet areas to pray, relax, meditate, whatever you’re feeling. The actual apparition location is in the basement under the church. Cafe and gift shop available. Daily mass.

What a beautiful, peaceful shrine to Our Lady. Plenty of opportunities for pray and reflection. Unfortunately we were not able to spend as much time as we would have liked, but it was still a fantastic way to pray and reflect. The shrine is easy to find and is located in a serene environment. So very glad we were able to visit and would return again.

We spent amazing time here on the way to Door Coumty for a long weekend. This is unbelievable that this is the only place in the United States where the Blessed Mother, Mary appeared. The Pope and Bishops approved the authenticity in 2011. There is a lovely chapel shrine, a church, and even a place to get religious items on site. This shrine is in the middle of farmland. We were fortunate to have the priest there talk with some of us and he blessed the items we purchased for our family. There are crutches left by people who had been cured while in deep prayer there. Your heart just becomes calm and if you listen...Mother Mary may be speaking to your heart.

The shrine is the only one in the US that has been approved by the Church as a place where there was an apparition of the Virgin Mary. The event took place in the mid-1800's involving a nun by the name of Adele Brise. I am not a Catholic but reading about the site in our local newspaper piqued my interest. My husband and I were in the Green Bay area and decided to pay a visit. The first thing that struck me was the fact that the shrine is in the middle of farm fields, far from any village or city. In spite of that, the parking lot was quite full. We saw license plates from all over the US and even one from Canada.

We walked around the grounds to view the garden and the burial site of Adele Brise. We stopped in the small chapel as well as the church which is used for mass. There is a gift shop and some items that I found interesting describing the history of the site .

While a bit out of the way, the shrine was definitely worth the stop.

A beautiful shrine devoted to Our Lady of Good Help.
A serene chapel and beautiful well maintained grounds to pray.
There are daily masses and a coffee shop to visit and a bite to eat. Reasonable priced religious gift shop on the grounds.
Tip: Please be respectful to others during your visit and refrain from talking and turn off phones and not take flash photos in the chapel or basement area where the Holy Mother appeared many years ago, this is a very sacred area so please be respectful when others are present and praying.

My family and I went for Sunday Mass and to walk around the grounds. Mass was great, the priest's homily was very inspiring and honest. This is a very peaceful place to meditate and pray.
The only suggestion to visitors is to wear comfortable shoes if planning on saying a walking Rosary and Stations of the Cross (weather permitting since it's all outside). I had fashion boots on and my feet weren't quite up to the challenge.
The gift shop is full of great stuff at super reasonable prices.
