Love the Foxton Fizz, very impressive with the structure of the windmill where wheat was grinded by the wind power.

The windmill is interesting to see. Little gift shop in its Base allows for pressents for loved ones. We loved it. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Informative sheet provided on arrival. Pleasant view from top floor. Would be great to see it in action - when does that happen? Very good selection of Dutch food available.

Anyone driving south on the SH1 will be surprised to see a Dutch windmill off to the right. Do take the time to stop and have a look around. The windmill is so unique and very interesting with a working mill some days you can see them grinding the wheat into flour. Run by volunteers they do a great job.

Travelling from Rotorua south to Wellington, a windmill seen just off the No 1 highway beckons curiosity........and a welcome break!! And we were not disappointed. For just a gold coin donation, anyone can climb the inner sanctum of this Dutch windmill. But to have Dutch tourists come in and be fascinated at the same time was a real hoot......to both... More
