Had the opportunity to visit the town of Vigevano, which is famous for handcraft manufacturing of Shoe's. This historic center was once part of the Duke Francis II Sforza's kingdom. You can walk along this magnificent center and have some pre-dinner drinks and then have dinner in one of the many restaurants. From the center square you can also center... More

One of the most stunning Piazza's we have ever visited. The condition is unbelievable, this is well worth the visit to Vigevano

one of the largest squares in Europe, meticulously maintained, a must-see! Build by Sforza Milano family as country residence. Nearby Castello an absolute must-see unfortunately, like so many things in Italy, not really looked after nowadays!

You are standing in the middle of a real jewel, a rectangular cobbled square of 134 x 48 mts. surrounded by an omogeneous and uniform building dating back around 1680 with subsequent minor additions and changes. I am not adding anythjing else, go and see for yourself, you will be definitely pleased.

We came here for a morning trip from Milan. It's a lovely drive and a beautiful place to walk around. Restructured by Bramante and Leonardo the place is beautiful interesting with historical as well as aesthetic value.

Great piazza. Visit it at night too. It's astonishing. Pity there are no benches to sit on and enjoy the view.

One of the best medieval city squares of northern Italy, half an hour far from Milan but relatively less-known. It has rectangular shape: three sides are surrounded by a portico, the fourth is occupied by Duomo. The Bramante Tower stands on the left and dominates the square. Wonderful!

A piazza that is truly the center of town. Beautifully ornate and created, with modifications throughout its history,to become an example of Rinascimento architecture.

I read that this is one of Italy's beautiful piazza and I must agree. It has plenty of shops, restaurants and architecture to keep you there for a day or two. If in Vigevano, this is a must see.

This is reputedly the best piazza in Italy. It certainly looks the part. I suggest that you have a guide or get a guide book or read up about it before visiting to appreciate the architecture and the frescoes.
