This museum has a good collection of icons, ceramics and mosaics. They are well displayed. I particularly liked an iconic painting of St George and his dragon.

We bought a combined ticket for the Byzantium museum, the Archaeological museum and the Royal tombs at Vergina which at €7 for over 65 is excellent value. The Byzantine museum has some fine icons and some reproduced 18th century rooms from the big mansions.

Many paintings, facades and religious relics across 3 floors in a very interesting museum. Some floor mosaics and layouts of old homes. The man on reception can explain a lot to you in English, if required.
