This museum is certainly worth an hour of time. We visited in the morning before going to the Royal Tombs at Aigai in nearby Vergina. It gives a lot of background historical information regarding the area covering from 8th-10th C BC to the 16th Century.

If you're into ancient artifacts, THIS is the place to go. It's not a big museum, but you are allowed to get up close and personal with the artifacts. I LOVED it!
